Skye's POV

"Stop crying, you can't do anything about it na." Dad whispered beside me. Matagal ko tinitignan ang bawat paglagay nila ng lupa.

The burial ceremony had ended. The skies are dark and dull like it is about to rain.

Like mine. Dark, dull, colorless.

A strong force of wind brushed through my hair. I was wearing a black sweater, but I can still feel the cold wind.

"Mom why did you name me Skye?" I asked my mom. Before I sleep, she would always sit beside me and tell amazing things about her life.

She smiled. My mom is an author, but she stopped writing when she gave birth to me. She said that entering motherhood is the most important phase of her life she don't want to waste.

"You know my dear, I adore the sky so much. Like you, since you came into my life it felt like skies bend down to me and gave me an angel like you."

I chuckled before clinging on my mom's arm. She laughed and leans on my side.

"Really mom?" Still amused how pretty my mom is.

"Yes love. I may face storms before. But the moment you came into my life, I saw how blue the sky is. How birds hummed at me the first time I hugged you, and how roses grew in full bloom." She chuckled as she tries to remember those precious moments of her life.

"You're my angel baby. Indeed, my safest haven."

"Come on Skye. It's raining!" My dad called me. I looked at him running with a child, almost at my same age.

"Venice let's go!" Her mom called her and followed my dad. Matagal ko sila tinignan, wishing he would also care for me.

Kasabay ng pagtulo ng ulan, ay ang pagbagsak ng mga luha na kanina ko pa pinipigilan. I looked up at the Sky, facing the droplets of rains.

"Are you crying up there mom?"

Yumuko ako at matagal na nakatayo sa tapat ni mom.

I miss you so much, mom.

Naramdaman ko na tumigil ang pagpatak ng ulan sa akin. I looked up and saw an umbrella. A woman looking anxiously at me.

"Nak, it's not good to stay here. Come on." She said and held my hand. She smiled at me, assuring that I'll be fine.

Dahil na din nanghihina, I decided to go with her. We went a white car. She opened the door for me so I went inside.
