Journal Entry # 4 Friday 2017
We had one hour lunch today. I had to leave my lunch box on the table in the cafeteria with some of my friends, as we went out to the football field and track. One hour lunches we had went like this normally, aside from the occasional special thing or event during lunch.
I walked the track, staring at the ground; a custom I'd gotten use to last year after my accidental break with Briar. I blinked and blankly watched the black gravel like surface of the track as I walked its wide oval shape, over ten times. I noticed Briar on the field with some friends. Let 'em go. He's fine.
I looked around for any of my friends. Many faces were a blur, and I could barely see any one I recognized, if they didn't run by or call attention to themselves.
I walked the curve again and a group of kids I didn't know came up to me.
"Hey." said a short, blonde girl with brown eyes. "Hi.." I said suspiciously. There was another girl in the group; a fellow brunette, but with green eyes. The other two were boys; one with black hair and dark eyes, the other with dirty blonde hair and blue eyes.
"Wanna play soccer?" The brunette asked. I frowned. "Sure.."
I'd expected them to lure me over with them to a friendly game of soccer or football, but no one moved. I also noticed that no one had a ball.
Red flag. What are they up to..
The dirty blonde stepped up. "Would you like to go out with me?" He asked. I stepped back, frowning. "I have a boyfriend." I said quickly.
The guy backed away playfully almost. I turned to leave. " I do too.." He said quietly. The blonde girl jumped in-front of me again. "Thanks for playing!"
I walked away, on the track again, shaking my head. I plugged in my headphones and tuned out so confused, but safe. What the Hell just happened?
