Journal Entry # 8 Thursday 2018

It had been a mere day, and Lyric was already on it with the help she had offered yesterday. Today was a B day, and Friday, Lyric and I were walking down the hallway of our class, talking. Lunch was still going on, we just went back early, like I normally did. We turned a corner, and Lyric grabbed my arm and pulled me forward. We stopped, and she turned and told Friday, "I need to speak to Low-low, hang on."

Friday blinked, but didn't seem surprised."Okay.." She said, walking back to the classroom door.

I turned to Lyric. "What're you-" "Shh-shh shh!" Lyric dragged me farther into the curving hallway, into the hall on the other side hallway I'd never had classes in. "Okay, I pulled you two aside separately. I already spoke to Friday. "

I blinked, watching the ground.

" I told her to spring the question, one of these days." Lyric said.

I looked at her, immediately hoping she didn't mean marriage, like it sounded.. "What question?"

The classrooms looked cool, some bare like any old class I'd seen, others were decorated excessively.

"You know," She said. "Like,..' Will you go out with me?'"

I looked to the side. "Oh.." I said, feeling strange.

"If she doesn't in the next few days or weeks, the responsibility will be on your shoulders." She said as we passed a brick surrounded classroom. I looked at Lyric. "I was sort of.. wanting to know, you know.. like ' D'you like me?' first." Lyric nodded. "She does." I looked down. "Are you sure?"

Lyric put her hands up. "Don't shoot the messenger." She said jokingly. Oh gosh..

The bell for fourth period rang. I bit my lip. Friday was standing in line at the door, in front of me. "H-Hey! Friday! " I said suddenly. Most of the class was already gone. I breathed in shakily.

"Yes?" She said. I felt nervous all of a sudden. "Um..- Wh- what did Lyric talk to you about earlier?" Friday's eyes widened and she blushed pink. I smiled a bit. "What, was it like.. a skip around the halls or something? What happened?" I said with a small chuckle.

Friday answered quickly. "It was just a skip down the hall." She said. She giggled. "Did you see, we had a little push fight."  I did see that. I watched it happen as they came back down the hallway earlier.

We began to walk out the door. "So what was it for you?" She asked. I glanced at the tiles in front of her. "J-just a leisurely stroll down the hallway." I said.

"So..What did you say at lunch?" She asked. I stared ahead, scared to look her in her eyes.. Lyric had promised not to tell Friday about my crush, although, we both knew she had some sort of hint. "N-nothing." I said. She walked me to the mid-way staircase where I had to go to my next class. I hastily said bye, and darted for the stairs, jumping down the steps.
