Journal Entry # 7 Wednesday 2018
I'm not sure why, but Friday kept up that strangeness with the 'Mr. Nightmare' thing. I would start asking where it was, almost believing she wasn't messing around.
"Don't worry," She said one day. "It's gone."
I frowned and looked around. "Okay, but-where is it..?"
She shrugged.
"What do you mean you don't know?"
She sighed. "Relax. It's probably nearby, trying to eat people's souls." I almost tripped. "what?" I asked in a small but concerned voice. "You don't have to worry," She repeated. "You don't have a soul."
My heart dropped as we descended the stairs. "Uh.. w-what d'you mean?" I asked, my eyes wide.
She shook her head. "Silly, you gave it to me, remember?" I looked to the ground, contemplating all of my life decisions, as we sat at the lunch table.

As I was waiting outside for Mom to pick me up in the Jeep, Lyric Cody approached me. "So..I'm not sure,..-" She paused, looking around. "- But it's just a rumor, okay?" I frowned and nodded. I glanced around. "So.. You like someone..- beginning with.. Friday?" My eyes widened, and I pushed her into the hidden corner of brick, and almost looked at her horrified.
" How did you find out?"
"I'm good at reading people."
I looked away, biting my lip. I sighed. "Y-..Yes.. I have a crush on Friday."
"I can help you." She offered. My head snapped back to her. "What?"
"I can be your wing woman."
"Why would you do that?"
"Because you like her."
I looked down and sighed. "I don't think she'd like me back.. like that.."
Lyric cocked her head to the side. "Of course she does." She said.
I looked up. "How do you know that?"
"She told me."
I blinked twice. "Sh- she did?"
Lyric nodded. I bit my lip again. "You know that negative voice everyone has in their head?"
"Yeah?" She nodded again.
"At the time she was getting over her Ex,.. and I know how that feels.. so.." I trailed off.
"Like I said, I could help you, I'm good at romance." Lyric giggled. She began to walk away and said goodbye. I gasped and called after her, "Thank you!" I turned back to my phone and music, waiting to be picked up.
That new memory just kept playing on repeat in my mind, until Mom pulled up.
