Journal Entry #25 Friday, Night 2018
I looked at my reflection in the mirror. My brunette hair was pulled back into a ponytail. My cheeks sparkled with highlighter blush. My dress shimmered in the light with the little shining things attached to it. I had on short, black heels, that were a bitch to walk in very fast. The doorbell rang, and the dogs went crazy. Their tails wagged all about, hitting the wall, and each other. Mom answered the door and pulled the dogs back.
I heard a boy's and woman's voices enter the house. I peered out of my room into the hallway. Dallas and his mom were standing in the doorway.
I stepped lightly and awkwardly waved. Dallas hugged me unexpectedly.
I was shocked a bit, my hands at his back in the air, not hugging him. My heart skipped a beat and I felt a blush spread across my face. I'll never get use to school people hugging me.
He let go and I stepped back. I lead them into the living room. Our house wasn't big; there was just the main hallway into the living room, dining room, the kitchen and a short cut from the hallway.

Dallas handed me the Mum his mom made me.
It had CSHS on the ribbons it had hanging off, and the school colors. It was like a big flower. There were gold yellow stars hanging from it as well. Dallas had worn a grayish blue shirt with a black tie, to compliment my dark blue dress.
I stood next to Dallas awkwardly while our parents talked.

We stood for our parents to take pictures.
Mom waved for us to get closer. "At least act like you like each other." Dallas' mom said smiling. I looked at Dallas, and we stepped closer together, his hand behind my back.

We got into the back of the car. Dad got in the drivers seat and we left the driveway.
We were already in line at CSHS, before I realized I forgot the tickets at home.
