Journal Entry # 19 Tuesday 2018
I begrudgingly sat back on the couch in the back of the class in fourth, with Cal Addex. "Hey." He said. I frowned and blankly stared at him. He raised his hands defensively. " Fine, fine, I.. see you're pissed, but hear me out." I didn't want to call unneeded attention. "You know, I was planning to kiss you in that gym??" I demanded. "Who was she?"
Cal blinked. "Aren't you and Dallas dating?" He asked.
"Yeah.." I scoffed."Now.." I folded my arms and huffed.
Cal frowned. "Wait.. you mean when you asked me to follow you into the glass door thing by the gym in December?" He asked. I rolled my eyes. " Oh my god, you guys are so clueless!" I said.
He turned his head. "You.. wanted to kiss me?" I turned back to him." I don't know!" I said. Cal blinked. " So.. You liked me?" He asked.
I rolled my eyes. "Well,.. not anymore." I replied. He chuckled. I frowned and cocked my head to the side. "What?" I asked. Cal smiled at me." Willow, I had a crush on you! I mean.. I still do, but- you know." He said. "I convinced Dallas to get you something in February."
I blinked, watching him intently. He laughed. "And that girl who walked into the glass door thing, probably foiling your plans, was a friend, an acquaintance. I know her but I don't." Cal explained. I stared at him long and hard, studying.. Is he lying.. not not?
I smiled a bit. "So.. are we cool?" He asked. I punched his arm. "Yeah, we're cool."
Someone cleared their throat from the teachers desk. I slowly turned to see Mr. Castious frowning my way. "Ms. Oakland?" He said sternly.
I smiled small and worried. "Y-Yes, Mr. Castious?"
"Did you just punch another student?"
My lip quivered. "Mayyybee..?"
My teacher pointed to the door. "Go to the Principle's office. I'll write a slip." I bowed my head and stood, gathering my things. "Yes sir.."
