Journal Entry # 18 Friday 2017
"Willow." Called a familiar voice from behind the locked door.
I groaned in my sleep. Grandpa knocked on the door. "Willow. Time to get up." I sat up in bed and blinked sleepily. I yawned and slumped out of bed and wandered out into the living room. Grandpa was sitting on the couch. I looked around. "Where's Grandma?" I asked. "She's out getting donuts." Grandpa said, switching on the tv on.
We watched America's Funniest Home Videos until Grandma returned with delicious fresh donuts.

I walked across the big gym to the wall opposite. I can do this.. I'm going to do this.. I have to tell him today.. No, I'm going to tell him today..
I blinked and realized I'd reached the wall faster than I had anticipated. I set my bag down as some of my guy friends came in to drop their bags too. I hesitated."H-hey, do y'all know where Briar is?" I asked, grabbing my lunch box. One of the boys, Greg Leo, said, "No, he's not here yet." My stomach sank. They left soon after I thanked them.
I kind of moped about, waiting for Briar, so much that I almost missed my chance when he walked in. Five minutes felt like an eternity. We talked a bit, and right as he was out the door I exclaimed, "Brair! Wait!" He stopped in the doorway and stared at me expectantly. Surprise, maybe? "I- I have to tell you something. "
He nodded. 'Yes, continue. '
"I-... I'm going to try to be the bestest friend I can be.."
Seriously? Say what's really on your mind!
He blinked and turned to me. I shook with anticipation. "Do you.. want to get back together?" He shrugged a gesture that's hard to explain into words. My breath caught and my heart beat out of my chest.
Yes! YES! DAMN IT SAY YES!
I couldn't form words. "I-I don't know, d-d'you you?" I stuttered. He nodded vigorously. I blinked. YES! YES! THANK YOU!
"Sh-sure!" I said nervously. He walked up to me and.. Hugged me. My stomach turned and my heart leapt in my chest. I was still shaking. I hugged back shakily, nervous of his touch. HE HUGGED ME!!
Screams in my head never voiced my feelings or nerves, but I think somehow, Briar knew. I shook still, as we let go and we walked to lunch together, talking like the friends we'd become.
The End,
For Now Anyways
