Journal Entry # 12 Thursday 2017

Everyday was exhausting, but I enjoyed fourth period every time. Even if we weren't playing dodge ball, or walking the track after running four, five laps on Running Day. The more time passed, the more Briar and I hung out in class.

Journal Entry # 13 Friday 2017 Running Day

I walked, holding my side. The black track was littered on here and there, but no one seemed to care. I liked the walking part of Running Day. After you passed the football light post things, you could walk to the other one then run the curve. It would switch out which one of those you ran or walked each time we were out here. Once you went to Coach Masshell after counting your four or five laps you think you did you can just walk. No one was allowed to sit out, as this was Physically Education.
I'd already finished my laps, and sputtered my breathing as it came back. Briar walked next to me, finishing his laps and when we hit the curve he ran. I watched and smiled slightly. Logan -WhatsHisFace had left our class about three months ago and no one ( at least no one I knew,) knew where he went. Others we heard said that he was in another class before or after ours.

The coach brought us back in the building, and the bell rang. Everyone rushed to the locker rooms to get changed and leave. Others didn't change out of their gym/ regular clothes, (Ew) and went off to their next period.

Journal Entry # 14 Friday 2017

I speed walked from the cafeteria to the gym and turned to the locker room. The girls locker room was loud and packed. For some time now, our class was either fast to fourth, or the class before us was slow.

Some girls from third period gym with Coach Masshell were still changing, others were rushing out the door with their bags.
The girls in my class stripped down to bras and underwear and put on their gym clothes. I put my phone and bag in my locker, grabbed my gym clothes and ran to the bathroom stalls across the hall in the locker room.
**
Emerging from the toilet, I rushed out the entrance in my gym clothes to catch up with the rest of my class heading into the small gym.

Today, we were using the scooters again. Flat, small, (some tiny) plastic boards with wheels we used to use in elementary school. I sometimes felt pain in my chest, being a girl, from sliding on the scooters when we had to. I sometimes wondered if it was worse or not for the boys..
