Journal Entry # 5 Saturday 2019

Today was just me and Grandma at the booth. We were at Chef Point, and they let us stay inside. I sat on the bench across from the Girl Scout (GS) cookie table. I pulled out my phone. "Can I invite Orion?" I asked. Grandma gave an expression she always did when I asked that. It was a smile and roll of her eyes. "No." She said with a laugh. "Pleeease.." I said. Grandma shook her head. "Fine, but his mom will pick him up and drop him off. " I smiled. I texted my boyfriend.

Orion sauntered into the restaurant, wearing his casual all black clothes. I smiled at the sight of him. He sat down next to me. "Hey." He said. "Hi." I beamed. "My mom dropped me off, "He said. "She's going to the store." I glanced at Grandma. Her eyes were wide. "I didn't know." I said. Grandma rolled her eyes and sighed with a laugh. Didn't she say that was the deal?

Orion smiled. "So..what's up?" I stood as a group of people came in. I said the line every GS says when a potential customer walks by. "Would you like to buy some Girl-scout cookies?" When everyone of them came up with an excuse, I thanked them anyway, and sat back down. "Probably the sky." I answered. Shit, is that what Friday use to say?  I blinked. Orion kissed me all of a sudden. I melted into it and kissed back. I heard the ring of the door opening, and Grandma cleared her throat. I quickly stood up, and repeated the annoying question, over and over as people filed in. Some people said yes, and I had to join Grandma behind the table.

When the satisfied customers left, I sat back down next to Orion. "I love you." He said. I felt a ping. I smiled. "Thank you." I said. "So.." He said, looking at my vest. "What does all that mean?" He pointed to all my patches. "I'm ranked a Senior, and all of those are basically my achievements." I said.

"Oh." He said. "Cool."
