The Page of Wands is someone who has just discovered (or rediscovered) his sense of self, has experienced (or re-experienced) something inspiring or has just learned about (or relearned) what fuels his passion. Whatever this thing is, it is represented by the wand. At this point, he knows what it is and has some idea of its power but has not yet grasped all the ramifications. He is still getting used to the idea, playing out scenarios in his mind and imagining possibilities. This experience bestows a sense of power and self-determination. He may find this either freeing or frightening, but more likely both.
The Universal Waite page holds his wand at a distance, not quite embracing it. He admires and examines it. He sees it as something separate from himself. Before exploring how to use it, he wishes to understand it objectively.
Core meaning:
One who is assessing something in the areas of will, inspiration, or passion.
The page in the Legacy card holds his wand close, with a defiant expression. He is already asserting ownership. He seems to know he definitely wants to own all that the wand promises and symbolizes. However, he also looks as though he hopes he won't be called upon to use his newly acquired wands energy just yet.
The Shadowscapes page is bolder than the other two. She immediately takes up her wand (the bow of the violin) and tries it out. She wants to see what it is capable of in her hands. This experience fills her, and she loses herself in it.
