Many times, people want to know when something is going to happen or when a situation will resolve itself. Timing is a tricky thing, and most readers have their own ways of handling timing questions. One is to build the issue of timing into the question, such as "What can I expect in terms of my love life in the next three months?" Another is to scan the reading and use the numbers to indicate where the situation is in its development. If there are multiples of a certain range of numbers, that lets you know where the situation is. For example:
Aces–Threes: the situation is just beginning or in the early stages.
Fours–Sixes: the situation is in the middle.
Sevens–Nines: the situation is nearing the end.
Tens: the situation is all but over.
When considering the idea of free will and how much we can affect our futures, looking at the numbers in this way can be helpful in determining how much influence we can exert. In the beginning of a situation, it is easier to create change with less effort. The closer a situation gets to resolution, the more challenging it is and the more effort is required. Here is an example. When you first start dating someone, you can more easily change direction. That is, if you choose not to see the person anymore after a few dates (aces–threes), it is easy enough to say so, with few repercussions. However, if it is the
night before the wedding (tens), while you can still say no, it will be harder and the ramifications larger.
