It had been a slow afternoon/evening for Omega. They stopped a couple petty thieves, confronted a few pickpocketers. Jason almost tackled a jaywalker because he was bored. Dick stopped him.

"I spy with my spidey eye, something...." Spiderman trailed off. "Gray."

"If something doesn't happen in the next five minutes, I'm going back." Bucky stated. "This is stuff cops can do. We're just wasting-" He was interrupted by a loud sound.

"What was that?" Jason asked as he put his helmet on.

"I'm not sure." Nightwing replied. "Let's get a closer look. Try not to draw attention."

They all four split up.

Once they found the source of the sound, they realized they were in big trouble. All seven of the villains were parading through the streets with seven times the henchmen. All together, there could've been hundreds of people terrorizing the place.

"You have got to be kidding me." Bucky gasped.

"Is that enough action for you, Buck?" Peter grinned. Though he was using the comm so Bucky couldn't tell.

"I thought Stark said there was no chance they'd be here!" Red Hood yelled.

"He and Batman said that their sources put them everywhere in New York but here. It must've been a diversion." Nightwing explained. "We need to call in back-" He was cut off when his comm went down. "Guys! Hello?"

"Can anyone hear me?" Winter Soldier asked.

"Hey chosen one, you gonna finish that sentence?" Red Hood joked. But there was no reply.

"Testing, testing. One two three." Spiderman couldn't hear anyone either.

Nightwing thought for a minute. They weren't out of range. They weren't damaged. Why was this happening? Unless it had something to do with one of the villains.

Nightwing, having no other idea of what to do, pulled out his phone, which surprisingly still worked in another universe, and called Red Hood. He usually wouldn't have had his phone, but he thought that in the event of nothing happening that he could at least play angry birds.

"Did your comm go off too?" Dick asked.

"Yeah, what's going on?" Jason asked.

"I don't know, but we need to help those people down there." Dick answered.

"Alright. I can see Spiderguy, I'll relay the message." Jason said before hanging up.

Before long, the four were on the streets fighting bad guys and helping the innocent people. It hurt Peter deeply as he watched his neighborhood get blown up and shot at. More then usual at least. He knew that the only thing he could do was try and stop it. Even if the odds were very much against them.

"Well, well, well." The Joker began. "Look what he have here? A couple little birdies and their new friends. All. Alone." He then started laughing hysterically.

As much as Dick hated to admit it, the Joker was right. They were alone. And without the comms, they were going to stay alone. He had to get them working again.

"I have to get to a place where the comms are online." Nightwing yelled.

"Nightwing, now is really not a good time to run off by yourself." Red Hood stated. "If we're gonna get out of this, we all need to stick together."

"Awe, so you do care about me?" Dick laughed.

"Not you!" Red Hood replied. "I'm more concerned about you saving my butt!"

"And that's more like it." Dick rolled his eyes. "But as much as I would love to stop you from trying to kill the Joker, if we don't get the comms back up we're not getting out of this one."

"I don't kill anymore." Jason scoffed.

"Still. Just don't die. Again." Dick laughed.

"Don't get caught, goldie." Jason snickered.

Nightwing took off to try and get to a place where the villains weren't blocking the signal to their comms. As soon as he left though, things started to get pretty rough. The other three were easily able to take down many lackeys, but the villains brought a bit of a challenge.

Spider-man swung towards Goblin but was stopped when he felt this agonizing pain in his head. He let go of his web and fell to the ground, holding his head in his hands. Count Vertigo walked over to him.

"Interesting. A spider-man. I've never been fond of insects." He stated.

"The spider is an arachnid. Why can no one remember that?" Peter said as he jumped to his feet and tried to fight him. He might've succeeded if it weren't for the pain in his head, but between that and how good of a fighter Vertigo was, he couldn't hold out for long, and eventually the pain in his head and his achy body caused him to pass out.

Red Hood was trying to go after Joker, but he ran into Scarecrow first. He started to swing his scythe at him. Jason jumped backwards but slipped on a piece of debris. He looked up and saw a little golden ball in front of his face. He heard it making a weird noise.

Before Red Hood could react, the ball blew up. His suit armor and helmet absorbed the blow, but his helmet was blown to smithereens. Which is why when he was blown back and hit his head on a wall, it knocked him out cold.

Winter Soldier was the only one left. The odds were horrible, but he never cared. He had walked into situations like this before on purpose. They usually didn't end well, but that didn't stop him.

He took out dozens of henchmen before going after the big guns. He fought Black Mask and took him down. Then he fought Zemo and very much enjoyed kicking the crap out of him. And then he came face to face with Red Skull. Before he could do anything, the Red Skull spoke one word. The worst word he could've said.

"Sputnik." He smirked.

Bucky immediately blacked out and fell to the ground.

"What did you do to him?" Scarecrow asked.

"Ze american had zis vord programmed into him. I uzed it once before. I didn't zink zit vould vork again. I vas wrong." Red Skull explained.

Joker just started laughing and laughing and laughing.

"HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!"

Nightwing made it to a place where the comms worked.

"Batman? Do you read me?" He asked as he started back to help his team.

"Nightwing! Get out of there! It's a trap!" Batman yelled.

"I know. We need backup immediately." Dick said. "There's bad guys every..." He looked at where he had left his team. No one was there. All the villains, henchmen, and his teammates were all gone. "where."

"Nightwing, what's going on?" Batman said after a moment of silence from Dick.

"They're gone." Dick gasped. "They're all gone."
