A/N: yeah. I know I'm updating at 11:11 PM. I've been playing Mario Kart all day. LOL sue me.
It had been six days since the abduction of the Omega squad. Most of them at least. Dick was feeling much better though. Not because they had found them, because they still hadn't, but because Bruce told him that he didn't blame Dick. Dick now felt bad for Bruce blaming himself, but he and the others helped him get back into the swing of things. Now they just needed to figure out what happened to their missing teammates. Or more accurately, where they were taken.
"Jason has a tracker in his helmet. If he still has it, we might be able to track them." Batman stated. He went over to the computer and started working.
"Hey, buddy. I hate to break it to you, but you can't download your software into my computer without my pass-" Tony was cut off. When F.R.I.D.A.Y. announced that Bruce had hacked into the program and downloaded his software. "Son of a-"
"Language!" Steve yelled as he walked in.
"You're timing is impeccable." Tony scoffed.
"You're welcome." Steve grinned.
Batman tried to pull up the tracker, but he found that it was still in Queens at the sight where Jason was kidnapped. Which meant that he didn't have his helmet.
"His helmet must've been destroyed in the fight. The tracker came off." Batman stated.
"So we're back to square one of having no idea where they are?" Tony asked.
"I'm working on it." Batman glared. "And what exactly are you doing?"
"I got three sources that might be able to give us some information." Tony said.
"Are they reliable?" Batman asked.
"Can't be worse than yours. You know, the ones that drew us away from Queens?" Tony smirked.
"Tony!" Steve snapped at him. "That was an accident. No one is to blame. Now, where are your sources?"
______________________________________Peter, Jason, and Bucky hadn't said one word since Scarecrow's first visit. Everyday he came back and showed them their worst fears. It was horrible. But they tried to pretend to be fine. At least Jason and Bucky did. Peter was smarter. He knew that their captors wanted to break them. And the easiest way to do that would be if they went through this alone.
"Guys. I know that the past few days have been... rough." He began. "But we can't do this. Just sit in our thoughts. The more we try and pretend that we're fine, the easier it will be to get to us."
"I am fine. I've had worse." Both Jason and Bucky said at the same time.
Peter sighed. "Just... here, I'll go first." He took in a deep breath. "When I first got my powers, I didn't exactly use them right away. One night during that time, a criminal robbed a man that I was upset with. He told me to go after the bad guy, and I didn't. I thought that he didn't deserve it. A little bit later, that same bad guy... he killed my uncle. My Uncle Ben. He raised me. He was practically my father. I could've saved him if I had just stopped the guy when I had the chance. And I always thought that Uncle Ben would've blamed me for that. I knew he wouldn't, but you know, like... what if he did? I'll never know. But it was my fault." Peter put his head down. He was sad to bring it up, but it did help to get things off his chest.
It was silent for a minute.
"I told you I've died before." Jason said. "Joker had me. Bludgeoned me with a crowbar. Beat me to the point where one more hit probably would've killed me. But he stopped. He wanted me alive. He wanted to give me a slight chance of hope that Batman would make it time before the bomb went off. But he didn't. I found out later he was seconds late. Joker timed it perfectly. And I died." He paused. "Scarecrow made it Bruce. That he was the one who killed me. That he beat me over and over again while telling me all the reasons why I was a disappointment. Although I should be used to that by now. But I'm not."
"It's ok, Jason." Peter smiled. "That's good progress. Did that help?"
"Nope!"
"I'll just pretend you're lying." Peter smirked. "Bucky? I know you're mister tough guy, but will you give it a shot? We all need support right now."
Bucky glared at Peter before sighing. "The Soviets used me as a killer. Took away my memories, my thoughts, they took away me. I had no say in who I killed. Who's life I ended. I was supposed to kill Steve. To this day the thought of if I had succeeded terrifies me. And Nat was there too. She saw me and said she would never love a killer."
"You're not a killer, Bucky." Peter reassured. "It wasn't your fault. She knows that."
"Does she? She barely knows me anymore." Bucky sighed.
"What do you mean?" Jason asked.
"We were in love. We both worked for the soviets. We had to keep our relationship a secret, but eventually they found out and wiped me again." Buck explained. "After Steve got me my memories back, we got back together and went on missions as partners. But one of them went wrong. After it was all over, all of her memories of me had been cut out of her mind."
"I'll admit, for the first time in my life, I don't know what to say." Jason admitted.
"It's fine. I'm used to it by now." Bucky put his head down. "So if that mystery girl is Nat's equivalent, then are you two a thing?"
"No!" Jason exclaimed. "She's actually kinda my sister."
"Forget I said that then."
"Is there someone else though?" Peter asked.
Jason stared at him.
"What? I'm just making chit chat." Peter defended himself.
"There's this one girl. Her names Artemis. She's back in my reality. She's a warrior and a fighter and really really hot." Jason explained. "We kissed a couple times, but she said she never saw us as anything more then friends. I know she was lying then, but now... she still hasn't shown any signs that she loves me back."
"If we find a way to get you back, do me a favor and tell her how you feel. Even if she rejects you." Bucky started. "You never know how much you love someone, until you lose them."
