- OBELIA'S ROSE, CHAPTER SIX, BY VIICERENE.

MY sister looked to her side. A blue lotus floated there, and there was no doubt that she was interested in it. But it was a blue lotus. Only a little information is shown in the book of Aeternitas. And so, my sister went to the side of the boat to reach it. Stretching her arms out, she still couldn't reach it.

She was forcing herself to get it. It made me facepalm at her funny actions. Looks like she wants it so desperately because of how beautiful it is. It isn't something you can avoid so easily because of it's mesmerizing form. Petals resembling glass, and it's stem all thorny, like a rose.

SPLASH

Oh gosh. Athanasia fell. I hurried to the side of the boat and reached my arms out to her. "Athanasia! Grab my hand!" I yelled at her. I was already sticking my hand inside the water. I was already panicking. What if she drowned? Oh lord!

"PUHA!" She got the water out of her mouth. The sight in front of me slightly relieved my adrenaline. "Take my hand!" I said to her, which she gladly did. "Thank you." She said to me. I yanked her up from the water and brought her onto the boat.

"Athy, I swear you will be the death of me someday," I said while patting her back softly. But I didn't mean it though. We will always be there for each other when the other falls apart. We're technically each other's medicine! But the thing I did makes me wonder. What if, she drowns without me?

Well, that is something to be answered in the future. Only time can tell.

And once Lily heard of this, she immediately jogged to Athy. "Princess, are you alright?" She asked. Athy was still recovering from what happened today. Daddy could only look at Athanasia with deep thoughts. What was he thinking? Is he going to let us drown shortly by any chance? Our father is a jerk.

"Felix." "Yes, Your Majesty?" Felix asked. He was shaking now from daddy's tone of voice. "Teach Athanasia and (Y/n) how to swim. It would be a shame if an emperor's daughter drowned to death in a mere lake." He said, turning around to leave with Felix and the other maids.

I then finally rushed to Athy. "Are you okay? Sorry I wasn't able to save you in time. I can't swim either." I said to Athy. She then turned to look at me once again, water dripping down onto her chin. "I'm fine, (Y/n). It's okay that you weren't able to save me." Athy said

Now, Athanasia was in her room as she wasn't feeling so good because of what happened earlier. A small phobia is nothing. If I got that, it's damage to eternity is nothing. Yet greeting nobles? That is something that may damage my eternity. One of those nobles I am supposed to meet is Grace Judith, a brown haired girl.

One of the most hated people in the empire. I laughed. She is a stupid child that only listens to their mother. She thinks she's part of the Imperial Royal Family, but no. She isn't. She only thinks that because he aunt if Penelope Judith while her cousin is Jennette.

And if I become empress... I will remove the House Judith of their Nobility title. But why? Because of what they did. The previous emperors favor the house of Judith because they gave them power. But their darkest secret is that they use dark magic to do it.

And from the books, you would be asking for death if the child you made is infused with dark magic. It would also affect the child greatly, as they may die at an early age.

"Look, it's Lady Y/n!" A child screamed. I looked at the child and walked closer to shake his hand. "Blessings and Glory to the star of the Obelian Empire." The mother and the child said, bowing. I then took the hand of the child and shook it. He looked amazed.

"Woah! Lady Y/n shook my hand!" The boy was fangirling already. I then smiled at the boy and left, planning to walk back to the palace. "This is quite tiring. I didn't know dad had to go through all this when he was younger." I said to myself.

But then, daddy was neglected by the former emperor and his half brother, Uncle Anastasius.

"Athanasia, Are you okay? I can help you, you know?" I said to my sister who was laying in bed. She looked deep in thought while I was sitting by her bedside.

ATHY'S POV
---

You evil psychopath. How could he have such a look on his face... when a five-year-old kid fell into the water? I have to bring Y/n with me and collect gold to leave this place as soon as possible. How am I going to win of someone that horrible? I asked myself.

The thought of our daddy sitting on his golden throne in front of me is a nightmare. He would execute me if I even move a muscle in his presence.

YOUR POINT OF VIEW

"Daddy, Daddy, I want that! Some chocolates for Athy!" You pointed at the little basket of chocolates up on the highest shelf.

"Then let's get it wrapped up." Claude said dryly, glancing at the basket.

His divine gaze then shifted to one of the maids on standby. "You."

"Right away, Your Majesty." The poor maid then ran off to the kitchen to wrap the chocolates up in a paper bag.

You looked around the dining room. It felt empty without Athy.
