OBELIA'S ROSE, CHAPTER FIFTY-FIVE, BY VIICERENE.
- S. Third Person POV.
The trumpets of the Emerald Palace was heard even by the commoners in the outskirts, happily parading around the Imperial Capital. "Is it official?" The nobles asked, fans covering their faces as they spied on the Emerald Palace.
The noblewomen were eyeing a wooden stand used for announcements, and were readily waiting with their spouses.
"Where is it.." Another noblewoman asked, eyes examining the Emerald Palace. It was seven in the morning, and they were waiting for a well-known woman named Lilian York to put the signed announcement on the stand.
They were looking at the front door of the Emerald Palace by the gates, and two guards emerged. They were holding a paper in a frame.
The knights put the frame on the wooden stand, and the noblewomen who adored their Crown Princess immediately leaned closer to it, eyes squinting to get a better view when someone gasped in surprise.
She jumped up and down in joy, shaking the gate. "It's official! The Crown Princess gave birth successfully at six forty-five, to a healthy baby boy!" She exclaimed.
All the other noblewomen jumped with her, squealing uncontrollably as they waited for the Crown Prince and Princess to show themselves standing by the balcony. What they didn't expect, though, is to see His Majesty.
His Majesty was walking around the Palace Gardens, and his bright blonde hair was seen by the noblewomen by the gate.
"Look, it's His Majesty!" They yelled, pointing to where he saw them. It seemed like His Majesty was walking by the Emerald Palace, collecting his thoughts. "His Majesty!" One called out to him, catching the Emperor's attention.
The Emperor looked to them, turning around and holding something in his arms. Though he didn't seem like it, the noblewomen knew he was happy.
Hands cupping their faces as they squealed once more, "It's His Majesty with His Highness!" A noblewoman said, falling to the floor as she blushed. When the Emperor realized this, he immediately ran off, entering the palace with the bundle of joy in his arms.
Now, the women's attention was definitely directed to the balcony, guards once again coming out and standing at each side of the balcony.
"Please be quiet, His and Her Highness, the Crown Prince and Princess will make their entrance!" They announced, staying still and turning around to open the grand doors of the Emerald Palace.
There and then, they saw His Majesty, the Emperor, and their Crown Princess and Prince walk out, and their Princess was carrying the child in her arms.
They were wearing white, as it was the symbol for purity. "The Crown Princess has successfully given birth to a baby boy, His Highness Prince Claude Alexander de Alger Obelia!" The guard yelled out as screams erupted from the crowd.
Their Princess smiled warmly at them, one hand carrying her child and one arm waving to the citizens as she leaned forward to give them a sneak peek.
A small, jeweled cerulean eyed baby with black hair was shown, and the crowd screamed, yelling as they waved at the newly-born baby that was shown to them. "All hail! His Highness, Prince Claude!" They yelled.
You knew that this was the child that can strengthen the Obelian Monarchy, and not have any scandals or problems.
"All hail! Her Highness, Princess (Y/n)!" They yelled with a smile plastered on their faces. In the large crowd, you could see a familiar family. A Former Princess, now turned Duchess, Her Husband, the Duke, and her daughter.
Your eyes landed on them, smiling and waving as you saw your sister wave back with a smile on her face.
Athanasia was already pregnant with her second child, and it was said to be a girl once again. Her first child, Anastasia, was in Ijekiel's arms, waving at you and your child as they made their way through the crowd.
You giggled as you pointed to them in the crowd to your father and your husband, "Look, they're going to visit!" You said.
Your father, the Emperor, nodded as he stared at the child in your arms. Tilting your head, "Daddy, do you want to hold him?" You asked, remembering that you had to tear the child away from him before you entered.
Claude nodded, before looking away and holding his hands out as you put the child in his arms, and it immediately snuggled up to him.
Laughing, you pat your father's shoulder. "He really likes you. Probably the curse of being named Claude. If you like someone, you stick with them forever." You said, remembering your mother.
'Such a shame, she isn't here.' You thought to yourself, but quickly remembered that the day of the birth of your son isn't the day to be sad.
You nodded, dismissing all the people once their cheers died down, and turned on your heel. Claude and Lucas had no choice but to follow you too, as they saw no reason to stay and please them with the royal appearance.
Once you got in, you saw Athanasia sitting down on one of the chairs and smiling back at daddy and I.
"Wow, daddy clearly has favoritism, he didn't carry sia when she was born." She said jokingly, leaning into her chair as she pat her stomach lovingly. You could see Claude playing with your newborn child, and Lucas was reading a book he found in the library.
Taking a seat beside your sister, you smiled back. "What are you naming the second?" You asked her, looking at her round stomach and rubbing it with her permission.
She sighed, shrugging her shoulders. "Probably after Ijekiel's dead mother. Or, mine." She said, looking at me darkly. You sweatdropped as you leaned on the back of the chair, 'How can pregnant women look so innocent...' You thought.
Athanasia then looked at you in the eye, holding your hand to her stomach as she stopped you, wiggling her eyebrows.
"If you get pregnant again... Let's say, this year, what would you name it?" Athanasia asked, eyes staring straight into yours as she kept wiggling her eyebrows. She squeezed your hand, waiting for an answer.
You looked at the baby in your father's arms, "Probably if it's a boy, after Uncle Anastasius. If they don't approve, Lorenzo Calix it is, and if it's a girl.." You trailed off.
You wished that the first baby girl that you would have would have a rather, long name, since it was now the new normal to royals whenever you have a child. "If it's a girl, Alexandra Adrienne." You said.
Alexandra meant the defender of humankind, and Adrienne meant from the city Hadria. Hadria was a place in the northern side of Obelia.
Athanasia nodded, "Name approved." She said. She was the literal master of baby names, since her first daughter, Anastasia, doesn't only have one name. The child had three names, so only our ancestors know what would happen if she has to put her name on paper.
