- OBELIA'S ROSE, CHAPTER TEN, BY VIICERENE

NOBODY heard anything. They could only hear the leaves of each flower hitting each other and the crickets chirping. Even the loud princess, Athanasia, was simply just sitting down in the flower field with her sister as they picked beautiful colors. B

ecause ever since that day, when Athanasia asked about Lady Diana, they started acting up. They acted all weird, and they were almost going to cry.

Those two are worried about (Y/n) and Athanasia all the time. They were tired and fed up with trying to leave as if they don't have a clue.

It was so uncomfortable for them with Lily and Felix's eyes burning holes into their backs every time they did something that was associated with Diana.

'Isn't that the dress Lady Diana made for them when she was pregnant?'

Lily and Felix finally left me and Athanasia alone in my room in the palace. It was as if they were going to talk about some important business that me and Athanasia shouldn't know about. But then, a faint voice that was behind our door spoke.

"From what I know... There are no memorial stones of Lady Diana in the palace." The familiar voice number one spoke.

"Unless, His Majesty keeps them in the treasure room."

"I see. It's a shame." Familiar voice number two spoke. Ah, so they're talking about a memorial stone? I read from a book, once again, that it can only hold up 30 seconds of a recording.

"I wanted to let the Princesses see Lady Diana." Familiar voice number two spoke. But little did I know, Athanasia was peeking.

And so, I wanted to come too. Sneaking quietly to Athanasia, I saw the voices that were speaking. ...It was Lily and Felix?

But for once, Felix is talking about Mommy much more today. "I'll ask His Majesty," Felix said. Eh? Is he going to? I'm not doing this. I don't want mine, nor Athanasia's hard work to be thrown away.

"With His Majesty's abilities, he may be able to pass his memories onto (Y/n) and Athanasia directly." He said. Lily gasped. Perhaps the thought of it is scary because maybe Lily is thinking of the possibility of him passing on the memories of his massacre in the ruby palace.

"Though... It won't be as clear and objective as a memorial stone, but they could experience that same thing." Felix said to Lily.

Oops, that's too much information for me to handle. Are they serious? Does daddy know how to use that type of magic? Me and Athanasia looked shocked as we waited for them to continue their little session.

"But would His Majesty allow such a thing to be done to the Princesses? I don't think His Majesty would like giving memories of his precious consort away that easily, Felix." Lily said.

"It's the sake of the Princesses, allow me to ask him if he could pass on some memories about Lady Diana," Felix said. Hold on. I'm not letting this happen. If this has to be done, then I should try to at least put a stop to this.

It's a little bit too painful for me to watch. Allowing myself to let all the hard work go? I am surely not allowing it to slip away from our grip. It's too risky.

"Then, I shall go to His Majesty straight away," Felix said. "I am serious here... Felix. I don't want to. I do not want this to happen-" I was cut off.

"Princess..." Even they can't form words. "Do not talk about mom with daddy." I stopped mid-sentence as I screamed a little bit. "Daddy hates talking about mommy. What if I want to see mommy?" Felix and Lily were shocked.

"You are to respect my wishes," You glared at Felix and Lily who looked horrified. "If you are planning not to do so, leave me and Athanasia alone at once."

"And, Daddy hates me and Athanasia?" I asked said as I raised my voice with a small glare. Lily looked horrified. "Such thoughts...Such thoughts... You had such thoughts in mind?" Lily asked, putting her hand up to her mouth as she looked horrible.

Oh my god. I just made this thing worse! Did I throw our hard work away faster? Oh no!! I am not going to live in the streets at five.

"Princess. His Majesty doesn't hate you, nor Athanasia. I swear upon my name with great confidence... That His Majesty does not hate Lady Diana, not you, not even Athanasia. You may speak with His Majesty with great honesty. But you are still young, princess. You do not need to suppress yourself this early." He said to me as he held my arms, still shaken because of what I said.

"No, no, no. I'm fine. Athanasia and I do not want to see her anymore." I said to Felix, making my answer sure. "Then how about this. If it is too difficult for you to ask him, I shall ask him for you and Athanasia." He said.

Oh. Looks like he didn't hear my answer. "No no. As I said, We're fine. Athanasia and I do not want to see her anymore, and it is final." I said to Felix.

"You do not need to, as me and Athanasia are contented with something already. There is no need to ask daddy, and there is no need for it, and our decision is final." I said, but it seems he's staying consistent.

"It's okay... I'll make sure to-" This time, I cut him off. "I said, I do not want." I glared at him much more.

"I do not wish to see or hear mom's voice in a recording. This is too much, and that was my and Athanasia's final decision. If we do not wish to see our mother's voice through magic or a recording, then please leave us alone if you wish to continue. My decision is final here." I said to Felix, punching him a little bit then running off. "Princess!!!" They called out.

Athanasia was also following behind. "Are you sure?" She asked me, eyes worried. I then nodded in response to what she said. "I am sure, Athy."

It was a normal day for me. Athanasia was still at the ruby palace, and I was here, stuck in daddy's original palace.

Though I think Athanasia is downstairs with Felix and Lily, the tension there must be so awkward because of the two of us 'running away' last afternoon. Though Athanasia must be busy right now, I'm also going to be busy because of my studies!

Anyway, we're learning about something about Technology and Livelihood. I doubt that it's hard anyway, as math is deemed as a hard subject but is actually easy.
