OBELIA'S ROSE, CHAPTER FIFTY-ONE, BY VIICERENE.
"Princess, rise and shine~" Lily smiled, pulling the covers off me as I groggily sat up. She sat by my bedside, "Did you have a good dream? You were smiling in your sleep." I shook my head, "No, I didn't dream. I remembered last night's events."
The events from last nights allowed me to leave yesterday without a heavy heart. "Oh, really? I wanted to let you sleep for a little longer, but.."
I nodded, "It's okay, I have to wake up anyway." I said. Daddy told me to come over today. Not for tea party, but- oh. I remember now, he's going to crown me as the Crown Princess of Obelia. I then got out of my bed with a creak.
Lily removed my nightgown, and I could barely keep my eyes open. I didn't really sleep that long last night, so I'm like this.
"Princess, you have to keep your eyes open." Lily said, putting my dress on and tying the appropriate ribbons.
After that, Lily opened the doors for me and I was greeted by the guards and maids. "Good morning, Princess!" They greeted with a smile on their face. The palace wasn't this lively since Uncle Anastasius arrived.
I smiled back, "Good morning!" I said, walking to daddy's room but my head still looking at them. "Have a good night's sleep?"
They all nodded, and I went along my journey to daddy's office. After 'Carax' or Aeternitas, Uncle Anastasius, and Jennette left, the palace went back to normal. Usual routines, and the palace was much noisier in some parts.
Needless to say, everything was back to normal. It's almost as if nothing ever happened! It's like I just took a long sleep.
I then arrived at my destination - daddy's room. I shut the door behind him, and smiled. "Good morning, dad!" I smiled, and he pulled out his unamused face. "You're late." Daddy said, causing me to sweatdrop.
Of course, I'm late. "I came as soon as I woke up." I said to daddy, walking towards his table that was stacked with documents.
"Here, this is the ceremonial program." Gosh, time flies by so fast, I could've sworn that I was only five yesterday. "Make sure to have it memorized by the end of the day." Daddy said. This is easy anyway.
I've memorized three whole documents in two days. What's so different about a ceremonial program? Let's see..
Daddy then handed it to me. Trumpets of the Imperial Orchestra will signal the beginning of the ceremony.. Yes, that's a classic whenever there are ceremonies or big events. Just like on daddy's dreaded birthday.
The nobility and soldiers will demonstrate their reverence by kneeling, they always kneel anyway, so this isn't any different.
The Crown Princess in formal attire will enter with the sound of the trumpets. I then looked under it, seeing small letters. 'Optional - Crown Prince and the Crown Princess enter together.' Whatever, Lucas and I aren't married yet.
We're only girlfriend and boyfriend stage. Now the last stage, infront of all to see, the Emperor will proclaim the Crown Princess as his heir.
I'm the only person in line, so it's obvious that I'm the heir. "There's a lot going on," I said, looking up from the paper to daddy. Daddy nodded, "It's no easy task to anoint the Crown Princess of an Empire."
At the moment, I know that the preists are in the midst of prayer to determine an auspicious day. We can finalize the exact day then.
"Furthermore, we'll need to plan out the budget, and oversee a number of things, so hurry and finish the documentation." Daddy said. But I doubt daddy would even follow a limit for this. We have around... a hundred rooms stacked with money.
