OBELIA'S ROSE, CHAPTER THIRTY-SEVEN, BY VIICERENE.

"I HEARD that Ijekiel sent you and Athanasia a gift," Our father looked down. My sister coughed, about to say something but was interrupted by a teacup making its way to the little platter. "That kid has picked up nothing but bad habits in Arlanta."

"Still, so young but every action he makes gives arrogancy." Father said, glaring at the table where the cage of the green messenger bird was.

"It's a gift of friendship, daddy. Our friendship with Marquess Ijekiel is the same as the other lords and ladies." I smiled at him, remembering the gifts that where sitting inside my closet. Those were from Jennette and all the other ladies.

Our father glared once again, "One dance with Athanasia at the debut and he already has smug ideas." It has been six months since such a thing happened.

Our father went on and on about what Ijekiel did. "He even dared to enter the private library. He's bold, I'll give him that." He said. That's why Athanasia's guards were all switched out.. and the others?

They have probably met the same fate as mommy, but they aren't pregnant. Yet, in my thoughts, I could feel my father's menacing aura.

"I showed him mercy and pardoned his actions, and he's coming onto you probably just to pardon all his crimes once he gets married to you." Daddy says such funny things. Me and Athanasia getting married?

I doubt I will. With Athanasia infront of me in the line of succession, most lords would come to her as she is the first one to inherit the throne.

"It seems inevitable, Your Majesty." Felix said, playing with one of the bells on his uniform, soon neatly folding them behind his back. "Princess Athanasia has inherited Lady Diana's beauty, while Princess (Y/n) has inherited your whole face itself."

"If they show more at royal events, their closet would be filled with many love letters from lords of different empires!" He explained, sharing his happiness with us.

Felix's smile always felt infectious. Once he smiles, Athanasia smiles too. "They will soon meet a partner and leave His Majesty's side completely." He frowned slightly this time. I'm going to be sure to cherish this rare lifetime of mine.

If ever I have my own husband, if he moves in the palace I still won't be able to spend that much time with daddy anymore.

"The fate of a parent is lonely indeed, isn't it?" He glanced at me and Athanasia, slumping down onto his chair slightly. "I already wonder how His Majesty will bear the loneliness." Felix was truly worried about daddy.

"Felix, shut your mouth up if you would like to continue living." He said. I could feel Felix turn into stone behind me, so I started eating (f/f).

"From now on, I demand that I don't see your face during our tea time. Unless, you would like to end it here." Daddy glared at Felix. His aura was getting stronger each second. I could feel it a mile away.

"Y-Your Majesty," Felix shivered under daddy's gaze. "What are you still doing here? Get lost." Daddy said, trying to calmly put his tea cup down.

It's been a while since I've been left with an angry daddy. "Must I really get married, daddy?" I asked him, so that he won't get the hint that Athanasia likes Marquess Ijekiel. "Spending time with you like these are the highlights of my day. Why do I need to get married?"

Daddy smiled slightly, "There's no law here in Obelia stating that you have to get married." I know he likes being with us now.

"I'll gladly stay with you, daddy. I'll stay with you until I become a super centenarian!" Athanasia smiled. Daddy probably won't even stay that long. He'd be a hundred forty-two once we become super centenarians.
