OBELIA'S ROSE, CHAPTER TWENTY-NINE, BY VIICERENE.

A SUDDEN realization struck her face. "Ah, Pardon me Your Majesty and Your Highnesses." She bowed. The words that left her mouth were a common phrase around nobles:

"Blessings and Glory upon the Empire of Obelia." Athanasia and (Y/n) were silent around their cousin. Sparkles surrounded Jennette as she held a certain pink ribbon. The smile on her face was fading slowly.

"I had just realized that I had lost it. Thank you for returning it to me." Athanasia ran to retrieve her ribbon. "It's my pleasure," She smiled.

"I haven't introduced myself yet, pardon me." She halted as the younger princess came forward and smiled. "Her Highness Jennette Margarita, daughter to Penelope." She whispered the first part.

Nobody heard it but the young Athanasia. Claude looked down at the lady. "Margarita," He paused. The familiar name in his mouth was painful.

Memories of his old fiancé. He smirked. "So you're the child that Alpheus has taken under his wing." The face of Jennette turned into a happy one.

"Have you heard of me before?!" She beamed. Claude could only look at her blankly; She was fangirling. 'She sure is the real deal Lady Jennette Margarita.'( Y/n) thought to herself.

"You are certainly quite bold when talking to royalty. Is it because you were raised by the Alpheus?"Jennette stopped. "My apologies..." Though a simple sorrow glance met Jennette.

She was the image of Penelope and an innocent young woman with flowers following her around. "I see," Claude smirked at his thoughts.

Athanasia and Y/n were confused about why he smirked. Then turning around, a swoosh from his cape was heard. "We're leaving," Two words. His daughters were left, clueless about what was happening. The three girls glanced at each other as Claude left. "Don't lag behind," Claude said. The two princesses ran to him, then left the young princess Jennette behind.

"We're sorry," They looked down, the smile on her face was wiped off. "The princess seems tired. Perhaps I should assist her in walking to the carriage..." Felix trailed off,

which the emperor surely stopped. "Felix, ten steps back." He said, leaving the young Jennette all alone in the assembly hall.

---

It was certainly a dark night. The ribbon Athanasia was holding in her hands was yanked away by your father. "It's been lying around on the floor, dirtied.

There's no need to dirty your hands with it." He said as he flicked the pretty pink ribbon to a random spot around the stairs. Then, he looked at Y/n and Athanasia.

"Still... If there is anything you would wish for, just say so. I can give you anything you want, so don't worry about this." He said.

The young princess beside Athanasia looked down with a hum. Was she the problem? She kept looking and checking what her dad looks at, but she can't figure out what he was thinking. Were they burdens?

Jennette bowed at your father as two certain white-haired males accompanied her. She was certainly not his! It was your Uncle's daughter, Jennette Margarita of De Alger Obelia. She was of the same blood like you and Athanasia, but not the current reigning emperor's daughter!

"Oh dear, a new princess? It's certainly not like she would have some fun. His Majesty doesn't even court Princess Athanasia and Princess Y/n!" A noble said. Her face showed all her expressions. She was mad. Mad that her friend's daughters were going to be replaced by an unknown child!
