OBELIA'S ROSE, CHAPTER TWENTY-FIVE, BY VIICERENE.
THE DAY of the Princesses' debutante ball arrived. It was the crack of dawn, and a maid removed her covers off her body. "Princess. Hurry, there's no time!"
She quickly let you to the bathroom and violently threw you in. "It's a big day, there's no moment to spare!" She yelled. Lily poured water on your head while scents and candula flowers were thrown in.
"Loosen up your shoulders!" They screamed. The debutante was at 1 PM, so what were they rushing for? The princess couldn't understand.
She could only stare horrified at the maids. "Where's the perfumed oil?!" The first maid asked. Screams were the only things the Princess could hear from the maids.
"Should we add more herbs?" The second maid asked. She had her brows furrowed. "Young miss, we need to massage you so you don't get bloated,"
A different maid pulled you out of the bath and started drying your hair. "I'm hungry..." You mumbled, trailing off into your thoughts. Ces kept drying your hair using a towel, waiting for the others to get your things.
She then placed her hands on your shoulders and smiled. "Now go take a nap for one hour." She said, putting a mask on your face and a towel on top of you as you lay on the hard surface.
BOOM
A maid barged into your room and asked. "Lilian is asking if she's done!" The green-haired maid yelled. "GAH! Not yet!" She yelled. The princess was already becoming dizzy at their actions. "Where's the rose water?" They asked. At that moment, the princess realized the maids with her were idiots.
The rose water was in the bathtub, the small comb was with the first maid, and the other brushes are in the brushes section of her closet. "Is the dress ready?" She asked. Right now, the Princess' world was spinning.
"Bring the flowers." A maid hurriedly said to the others. Six maids were circling around her at that point.
I-i must have been taking this debutante thing a little too lightly...
But finally, at night, the princess has finally finished. She wore almost the same dress as Athanasia did, although it had butterflies decorated and sewn onto it.
But another thing that was specially added for the princess was weights. And the Princess's maids were smiling in joy. "You really do look like Lady Diana, my lady." She smiled warmly.
"We're very sure that you and Athanasia would become the most beautiful girls at today's ball." They marveled. The tiara on your head was killing you, it was very heavy.
Your front hair was fixed to look like Claude, but now you looked like your father as you turned fourteen. You were certainly the looker, now taking after Claude.
But Athanasia looked like Diana more. In Obelia, it would be common for the first princess to look like their mother, while the second princess would look like their father.
"We fixed your tiara up quite tight, so it won't fall out of place." A maid said. The young princess thought it would be insanely pretty.
"Princess, you should be heading down now," Lily said. "I know today would be a wonderful day for your debutante." She said, with a warm smile. The princess smiled back at Lily.
"Yes, I'm sure of it too," Lily said to (Y/n). Leading her out, the expression of the knight in front of her was funny. "You look nice, your sister is outside already! She's with the young lord-
"-and Lucas is already at the debutante!" He smiled, taking your hand. "You look especially beautiful today. His Majesty and Her Highness are already waiting for you outside," He said. At this point, maids were already wowing at the sight in front of them.
---
Felix led you down the stairs. Your eyes lingered on your father and Ijekiel. You simply gasped at what he was wearing. But with him, he felt your strong mana. Turning around, he saw your figure that was decorated with butterflies. He was wow-ed. You looked like the female version of your father. A beautiful one indeed.
Earlier, when he saw Athanasia, he was surprised. She looked beautiful, and she resembled their mother beautifully. Rubbing your eyes, Felix let go of your hand.
You never saw your father dressed so formally. He only dresses up for only one occasion though. It was only when he met foreign ambassadors from different empires.
Yeah, the Obelian Empire was the strongest empire known. But you were surprised. He didn't attend your birthday but dressed up, especially for your debutante.
But, is he actually a man with kids? He didn't look like it. He looked way too young. "You look like you'd be cold." He said. "You look handsome today... Daddy."
You were unsurprised by his reaction. It was an everyday thing for you and Athy. You stood in front of him as he gazes down at you. "Daddy... We're happy we can spend the day with you." You said sincerely. But with a smile, he held his hand out.
"You look... Very pretty today." He said. Smiling, you held his hand. "Thank you... Daddy." You said.
