OBELIA'S ROSE, CHAPTER THIRTY-FOUR, BY VIICERENE.

"I GOT THE CHANCE TO SEE LORD FLOWER OF HOUSE IRAIN YESTERDAY." Here we go again, new people surrounded me. Surai, the Princess of the Yeonia Kingdom,

Nevaeh, a commoner that I met during some festivals, Duchess Olive, that is eighteen, and Lady Dominique. Not even a single page in our calendar flipped, and I'm hosting another tea party.

"Oh dear! Are are the rumors just as they say? A beautiful boy?" Lady Dominique asked, uninterested. She was interested in another man, Duke Paolo.

"Kyaaa! I dare say, the rumors didn't even do him justice. He looks so cute!" Surai said. Romance between a Lord and a Princess! Kyaaa!

But... Who am I?

And most importantly...

Where am I?

---

"Did you have fun at the tea party?" Daddy asked. I smiled at him. "Yeah! It was fun." I said, thinking about how nice some of the girls were at the tea party. He hummed.

---

And thus, he held another tea party for me. Although now, in the guest list, I checked their backgrounds and saw no political motives or hierarchy.

Meaning, daddy must have wanted me to make real friends. Not fake ones that are hungry for power. It would make no sense if he would be that careless.

"And that... Dangerous charm in his eyes is even much more powerful than the Lone Gray Wolf, Zavier!" Surai smiled.

"And ahhh, Her Highness's wizard is so charming! I really think I am head over heels for him. I dream of him when I'm asleep and when I'm awake, I think about him a lot!" She said, staying silent for a moment.

"...This has to be fate! My whole life has been leading up to the moment I met up with him~ The lone black wolf, Lucas! How I wish I could embrace those lonesome shoulders." She said. How cringe, what is happening to her vocabulary? You all are being decieved...

WHO MADE ME A PRINCESS

---

"The weather is quite nice, isn't it?" Jennette, from Athanasia's tea party, sat beside me. I looked at her. "Oh yes, in fact, I was stressing out because the weather might change abruptly. That would certainly ruin the picnic." I said, looking to the side to look at the ladies that were chatting about different boys.

"Miss Margarita... Aren't you going to engage with the other ladies?" I asked her. She laughed. "How could I not? Everybody is so eloquent, time just flies by." She replied. Then why are you sitting here with me if you enjoy such a chat?

"I'm actually quite interested in stories that you know, and the stories that I have never heard about. And about that soft charisma comment,

I found it very funny that I told Ijekiel aswell. Then, Ijekiel asked me, that just came after Princess Athanasia's tea party, where I heard such 'absurd' things."

"So, I then told him that I heard it from Princess Athanasia's tea party, and he got this very silly look on his face." Mhm, I know that.

Athanasia told me that he would make funny faces from time to time, and some of them looks ugly. "It was so funny, just because I never saw him make such an ugly face before."

Jennette kept laughing and giggling. "That really must have been funny." I said, gripping the handle of my peach parasol.

"I would certainly like to see that face too. I hope I get the chance one day." I said. "Lady Jennette, I will stay here a little longer. Why don't you return to the party and engage in there conversation?"

And the biggest question of them all, what kind of stories would they be telling today? Perhaps romance stories with the Kings of High Society?

Jennette looked down at the floor. "...Could it be, Princess, that you don't like me?" She asked. Huh? She then looked at me with a sorrowful expression on her face.

Quite unexpected. She was definitely upset. "That is not it. I love certain nobles that come to my tea parties. And you, Lady Margarita, is apart of the ones I love."

Why would I hate my cousin in the first place? I know, she was born to corrupt people, more specifically my uncle and my auntie, Penelope and Anastacius, but that's not a good reason to do that.

"The truth is, Jennette, I have never experienced having much friends when I was young, as I always stayed in the Ruby Palace." I said.

Her eyes then glowed. "And sure enough, because of that specific reason, I do not know how to act. As you are my friends, I do not know either wether to act informally or formally. It's really not becasue I don't like you, it's really just because I'm inexperienced." She said.

"I feel that way too. But because I said this, I hope it doesn't make you uncomfortable, Princess."

She was figeting with her hands. Meaning she was uncomfortable. "But I really have a feeling that me and you are alike, Princess. Ever since I met you, I've been hoping that me and you could be really good friends. Is it rude of me to think such a thing? I mean, I'm comparing myself with the princess." She said, worried.

"No, it's not." I said, well atleast not for me, but if daddy hears about this, then someone comparing myself with themselves is certainly not appropriate.

But then, if we look at how Jennette acted with us than with the Alpheus Family, then it would be common sense that she would long for a family. I mean, her parents are long dead,

and it wouldn't really be a hassle for me to act like her sister figure genuinely. "Thank you, I'm glad..." The words slipped out of her mouth. And I don't know why, but my wariness completely slips away when there's a possibility that the Emerald Palace would go to her.

"Princess, would you like to come over to my home next time? I've always wanted to bring you over to my home every time I go here." Jennette said, pointing at me.

"Of course."

JENNETTE'S P.O.V

---

"I'll be wandering off." I said to the other members of the tea party. The princess herself nodded. Left, right, left, left right. How fun! I'm... So lucky to have Princess Athanasia inviting me to her tea party. But...

"Who are you to walk around the garden so freely?"
