I groaned, feeling a wave of cough and nausea near my throat. Throwing my quilt away, I dashed into my bathroom. I cleaned my face. As soon as I was in my room, I let my body collapse on the bed. Tears streaming from my eyes.

God..! Please, now I also want a partner. I couldn't take it anymore. It hurts seeing everyone with their partners while they're pregnant. I sobbed covering my mouth.

I was thankful no one came to my room. I took baby-steps to the bathroom. I undressed. Walking to the shower,I turned to tap. The hot water ran down my body, relaxing me certainly. I wrapped a towel around my body. I breathed in and chose a dress. I wore my undergarments then wore a kurti with black leggings.

I combed my hair. After I was ready, I went out for breakfast. "Good morning." I wished everyone at the dining table. They smile. "Kaiwa." Sitara squeaked. I chuckled. "Inside voice, baby." Devansh reminded her.

I sat in my place. "How are you feeling ? You passed out yesterday." Sakshi said. Then it struck my mind. Yesterday I fainted in the kitchen. Devansh and Sitara were there too.

I gave everyone an apologising look,"I am sorry for bothering you frequently. Don't worry I promise as soon as the baby comes out,I will leave this house. I am extremely sorry for being a burden." Sadness dripped from my voice.

"Mind your words, young lady. You aren't a burden on us." Sakshi assured me. I smiled sadly,"but who knows might be I am a burden on the person in whose house I stay." I shrugged.

Devansh's head snapped at me. His glare drilled invisible holes in my body. "Kaira, you are not a burden. You were, if you would have been staying here using all my money for free but you don't. You work here under me, in my presence and absence. You take care of my child and for that reason I pay you and have given you a roof under which you could stay. So all these are the things you have earned, NOT GOT. So lock that in your mind. And most important point, you can not leave this house until I say so.",my mouth became agape listing him.

I glanced down at my lap and blushed really hard. The smile never wiped away from my mouth.

"Ahem Ahem...someone is blushing. Someone is in love." Sakshi exclaimed. I choked my saliva whereas, coincidentally, Devansh too started coughing. We drank our water. Everyone burst into laughter.

"Why you waughing (*laughing)?" Sitara giggled, unknown to all those talks. "Nothing, just big people think." I pinched her cheek.

I felt movement in my stomach. I gasped loudly. "What's wrong ?" Aarna maa approached me. "I felt movement in my stomach." She touched my stomach and chuckled loudly,"oh gosh, my child, your baby is moving. It is kicking."

"WHAT ?" OH GOD, IT'S KICKING. IT'S KICKING," I laughed like a crazy woman holding my stomach. "Can I feel it ?" I nodded,Sakshi and John rushed towards me. They too exclaimed,"oh wow."

"Wh-What awe(*are) you doing ?" Sitara tilted her head, clueless. "It's the baby. It's moving." I didn't realise I was tearing up. She jumped off of her chair and rubbed her finger on my stomach. I took her mini hands and rested them on stomach. At first, she was frowning due to confusion but then she suddenly started grinning. She snatched her hands away and started pulling Devansh holding his hands.

"Daddy come, pwease." He followed her, with half bended as she didn't leave his hand. She brought his hands and kept them on my stomach. His body stiffened suddenly, he then cupped my stomach. He smiled after a minute or more. I shyly smiled when he grinned at me.

His expression changed all of a sudden, he got up, straightening his shirt,"I will leave for work. Sakshi, I need you to change the CCTVs of the bar. They have glitches." His eyes became hard. I gulped and a shiver ran down my spine when his dark eyes stared at me.

Bipolar much. Hmph.

We all had our breakfast. All left for work. Sitara and I trailed off to her room so that we could play. "Let's pway, makeup-makeup." She clapped her hands. I went to her wardrobe to bring her makeup set. I didn't know why this child was having so expensive make-ups. "KAI-'' her voice became huffing. I frowned. When I got back to her room, my legs froze on the spot.

What the fuck?! I was not supposed to feel anything for it. It's not like it's my baby, it's some other man's child not mine. It made me happier seeing her happy but I shouldn't feel anything for the baby.

I wouldn't do anything except paying their expenses and taking care of bills. That's it, yeah..!

Leaning against my leather chair, I massaged my temple. I haven't been feeling well lately. Probably because of Kaira. A knock appeared at my office door. I said,"Come in." A woman, wearing a barely covering dress, walked in.

"Boss,your drink." I hummed, nodding. I sipped my drink and groaned instantly as I felt cold hands on my bare chest. She was kneading my arm while poking her butt to make it visible for me. With greeting teeth, I held her wrist and twisted it. "You, little whore. Did you try to seduce me ? How dare you even put those filthy hands on me ?" I shrieked.

She whimpered,"oh yeah.. boss..! Punish me. Please. I was being bad girl and bad girls deserve punishment. Punish me." She purred. I cringed with disgust and pushed her away,"You're fired. Never show your face again."

I threw her out of my office.

I was having a severe headache which led me to leave the bar early. I was on my way home when one of my bodyguards called me.

My eyes went wide with his words. I sped up to our mansion.

No. No. Fuck.
My baby. My princess. My Tara.
