"Kaira. Mind to explain why you suddenly left Devansh's house ?" Rishab queried, sitting beside me on the couch. I played with my fingers. I felt his hand squeezing mine, he blinked reassuring me. I sighed as there was no use of hiding it anymore.
I told him everything from beginning to end. He was frowning at me,"I am so sorry for you!" He wrapped his arms around me. I was embarrassed by the act. He pulled me closer,"uh-Rishab. I am alright." He broke the hug. "I could not believe he did that. He is a jerk, honestly. I barely talk with him." He rolled his eyes.
This man didn't have a place in anyone's heart. A perfect example of an asshole. Bastard.
We had our dinner.
I tossed and turned all night. I was hella sleepy but could not sleep. I got up then slowly and carefully unlatched the door. I could hear muffled voice from Rishab's room, he must be on call. I decamped to kitchen. I knew it's weird but damn these cravings.
I checked all his cabinets several times but unfortunately found nothing. My bottom lip tucked out. I went back to my room with an upset face, as well as a tummy.
I laid down all of a sudden missing Devansh. How he used to take care of my cravings ! How he would bring me chocolates and chips secretly ! He would make excuses for fast food just for me.
Why was this man always an idiot ? Anytime I would fall for him, he always did something wrong that made me hate him.
I caressed my stomach. I wanted to drink some hot milk. I smiled remembering something. I chuckled then.
-Flashback-
I sneaked into the kitchen, I was shivering as I took a bath just a few moments ago. Why ? Please don't ask. I was wanting so I did. Sounds crazy, right ? Yeah, I know it is.
I sneezed walking on the cold tile.
I noticed Devansh in the kitchen. "H-Hi," I said, with scattered teeth. "What's wrong ?" He chuckled. "Chips." He raised an eyebrow,"Answer me first. Why are you shivering ?"
"I-I t-ook a b-bath." I said trembling really badly. He shook his head, of course on my stupidity. He kicked his slippers towards me,"wear them." I slid my feet into them. It was already warm. "Go and wear a sweater or something. Or else you will catch cold." He said turning towards other side.
"No I won't. Achuu..!" I rubbed my nose,"oh god..!","Go..!" He exclaimed sternly. I huffed getting up. I came back wearing a sweater. "Hmm..very good." He placed a mug of milk in front of me.
I crunched my nose, pushing it away. I pointed at the cabinet,"chips..!" He said firmly,"No chips today. They are not meant to be consumed everyday. Moreover, you're cold now. Drink this warm milk. It will relax you and the baby."
I groaned,"asshole..!" I murmured. "I heard that." He glared. I sipped the warm milk, it relaxed me. I yawned many times while drinking it. I wiped my face and gargled with water.
"Good night..!" I sleepily wished him,moving out of the kitchen.
-flashback ends-
My eyes welled up by the memories. "I miss you Devansh,"I muttered underneath my breath.
I wondered what Sitara must be doing ? She definitely would have fallen asleep. Will she be okay ? Many questions started hastening in my brain.
I picked my phone and tapped on 'Sakshi'. "Hello..!" Sakshi said slowly. "W-What are you doing ?" I questioned. Of course she must be sleeping. Fool me. "Kaira, is that you? Oh gosh..! You know what happened today ? Tara started crying when she got up then when we were able to calm her she asked for you. She ran around the house searching you, she didn't believe us with the fact you left."she sighed. "Did she have her dinner ?" I asked. "Barely..! After she fell asleep, Boss tried to make her drink some milk. Gladly he succeeded." She stated sadly. "uh..ok. What about others ?" I queried quietly. "Why don't you open up with me, your other refers to Boss, isn't it ?" I could imagine her smirking behind the screen. "uh-huh..n-no..! Nothing like that." "Everything is like that. Anyway, now everyone is sleeping. He said he will take care of the man tomorrow morning. The man is locked in our basement. I hope he reveals the truth or else the case will get worse." She stated, seriously. "ok, I need to sleep now. Good night." "Bye."
I tried to fall asleep. I wanted some warm milk right now but duh..It's not even possible. I didn't realise when I slipped into slumber.
Next morning, I got up with completely unfamiliar surroundings but then remembered everything about yesterday. I wished the man had told the truth. I hoped Sitara would be alright and eat something properly.
I brushed my teeth, cleaned my face then took a shower; I got cleaned then changed my clothes. I slipped out to the living room only to find Rishab doing push-ups. His body was well built, he had biceps but not perfectly figured six packs but he was hot, though.
His deep voice disturbed me,"Like what you see ?" I jerked, finding him so close to me. My face flushed. "Haha...! You look damn cute while blushing." He cupped my face, throwing back his head, laughing. I slapped his hands away,"oh please..!" I sat on the couch. Suddenly I felt someone grab my waist, now I was just a few inches away from Rishab. He looked deep in my eyes. He closed his eyes and inhaled my scent.
It was so creepy and uncomfortable.
I pushed him hard,"Rishab." He looked pissed,"I am sorry. I didn't mean to do that. I wasn't aware of my action." I did not reply to him and just decided to return to my room.
My heart was racing, I could feel that. My head felt light. Everything kinda became darker in view. I somehow managed to sit on the bed. I looked for my medicines but found them nowhere.
