"She is not sick anymore." Kaira said. This morning when I woke up, I realised I had falled asleep in Tara's room. Kaira was laying down on the couch. I woke her and asked her make Tara ready. She checked her temperature which was alright. So she decided she will leave.
"I will take my leave now." She said holding her bag. Disheartened, I let her leave with Rishab who was waiting for her at the doorstep. My jaw clenched tightly when he held his hand out. Thankfully, instead of giving her hand, Kaira gave her bag to him. He transferred the bag to his other hand and held her hand.
I frowned with rage. When she turned to look at me, I snapped my head away. I could feel her stare. I chose to ignore it. I didn't want this. I wanted her to cage with me in this mansion and would not leave her anywhere. She would have just stayed with my baby and I , I was ready to take care of her and her baby's all expenses.
"Honey, why don't you stay for more days? You may leave later." Aarna maa said, her corner of lips tucked downwards. "oh, I wish I could, Aarna maa but you know right ? If Sitara saw me leaving she will start crying that is why I am leaving now when she is playing with Pup. And don't worry. I will call you once I reach there." She hugged Aarna maa and Sakshi for a last time then left but not before giving me a silent gesture through her eyes.
I felt my throat hurting. Wasn't it the same way how SHE left ?
With my clenching heart, I walked to my office. How badly I was craving for her presence? How horribly I was wanting to hear her fierce yet sweet voice ? How terribly I wanted to keep her close to me and make her mine, FOREVER ?
But was it possible ? No. Fucking No. It was something that never gonna happen.
I banged my hand on the table and moved near window fuming with pure anger and jealousy.
I wanted her like a small boy want his superman toy.
"Daddy..!" I heard a soft familiar voice. I turned around and saw Tara standing at the doorstep of my office. Sadness was written all over her face. "Yes, baby. What's wrong ?" I tried acting normal. I sat in my leather chair and pulled her to my lap. She played with the button of my shirt,"daddy, she left." My body tensed,"haa..yes,baby. She left." I patted her back.
Tara just snuggled and sighed. I too sighed, grabbing her closer to my chest.
My eyes were closed so was Tara's. Her light snores were audible. A knock at my office door made me jerk open my eyes. I realised John standing there with Sakshi. I motioned them to get in through my fingers.
They kept a file in front of me, on the table. They noticed the sleeping figure in my arms, before starting,"Sir, these are the reports of the rival gang. We found out that they are still here, in this city." Sakshi explained with stern face. I fisted my palms. "Their location ?" I queried.
"Boss, they are settled in a resort 10km far from our mansion. And according to records, they kept and keep their eyes on us 24/7. How ? Still no clue." John showed me the reports. "They're getting smarter. We need be more smarter than them." I examined the file.
"Boss, as per the reports, I don't think this place is anymore safe for Tara." My gaze snapped towards John,"what do you mean ?"
"Boss, I think you should give yourself a break and go for a vacation." John suggested. I shot him a glare,"JOHN, IS THIS A JOKE ?" I screeched. They both hissed seeing Tara stirring. I took a deep breath,"John, be serious once for god sake. Here, my baby's life is in trouble those fucking rivals could attack anytime and you are asking me to leave for a vacation ? You got to be kidding me ." I was breathing heavily with fury.
"No, boss. You misunderstood. He meant that this place is not safe for cupcake. Especially when we don't have any idea what would be those stupid rival's next step. We cannot attack them in hurry or if we plan an attack it will take time, which we do not have. So we have decided you should leave India for a while. Relax yourself while we take care of everything. " Sakshi had a concern look on her face.
"But will it be fine ? What if something wrong happened here while I would be there ? How will I relax with lots of tension in my mind ? I don't think it is a great idea." I protested.
"It is risky staying here that too with Tara. Listen to us, Boss. We will never plan bad for you or anyone close to us. You will have to trust us. We are asking you to do this just for Tara's safety nothing else." Sakshi pleaded.
Maybe she was not wrong. I needed to think wisely. I could not leave my gang all over alone for this mission. Father or Gang leader ? What should I needed to choose ? Either I could be a good father or a good Boss. Arghh..but my baby comes first. She will always be my first priority.
"Ughh..okay I will go. But where ? Have you done any preparation ?" I raised an eyebrow. Sakshi clapped her hands and exclaimed,"oh, yes. We have done everything. All you have to do is get to your private zet and fly away. I didn't booked plane ticket as that would be dangerous as well."
"Okay but where ? Country or state name ?" I asked them. "Umm...it's Zermatt, Switzerland." John grinned. "You two are going to Switzerland." Sakshi laughed with excitement. "Not two. Three."
They looked me with confusion. I winked at Sakshi making her smirk. She winked me back.
Haa..time has come.
