Rose walked into the wand shop called Ollivanders, looking around curiously at the seemingly empty shop. "Hello?" Rose called out, stepping up to the counter.

"Ahh, Ms. Black. I was wondering when I would see you here," A raspy voice called, appearing in front of Rose suddenly. "Ah, yes this should do nicely," He murmured to himself before walking towards me with a box he had pulled off one of the shelves. "11 inches, Holly, and Phoenix feather. Give it a wave," Rose took the wand in hand and gave it a flick as Ollivander instructed. The light above them broke and Rose handed the wand back quickly, surprised. "No, no most definitely not." He choked out, and went back to the shelves. Minutes later he came back with another wand. "12" inches, Ashwood and unicorn hair." Rose gave this one a flick and it set the shelves aflame. He put it out quickly, rubbing his hands together. "No, no," He muttered, taking back the wand and climbing up the latter again. "Hmmm, I wonder..." Mr. Ollivander said quietly to himself, just loud enough for Rose to hear. Said man came back with another wand. "11 inches, Oak wood, Phoenix feather." Ollivander said. When Rose touched it there was a small glow to the room, and she felt weirdly happy. "Curious..." Mr. Ollivander mumbled.

"Sorry, curious? What's curious, if you don't mind my asking?" Rose asked, lowering the wand to her side.

"It's no problem, my dear. What's curious is that you, who has suffered at the fate of a wand not so different the one you posses, would be destined for it. Even when one of the two brothers gave you your scar," Ollivander said quietly, pointing to Rose's cheek. Her eyes widened, and she stared down at the wand which she now clutched tightly in her hand. There was a sudden tapping on the shop window which distracted Rose from the previous conversation, and she looked up to find Hagrid standing outside with a cage in one hand and multiple bags in the other.

"Rose! Rose happy birthday!" Hagrid's voice called, and Rose let out a small giggle of delight. He had gotten Rose a brown Barn Owl, which he had in a rather large cage.

"So, what are ye gonna' name 'er?" asked Hagrid once Rose had payed for her wand and stepped outside.

"Jane...after my mum," Rose smiled, stroking the bird through her cage. Jane seemed to like her new name as she shook her head up high and seemed to look at everyone but Rose as if they were not as good as her. The thought made Rose giggle.

"Well that is mighty kind o' ya." Hagrid told Rose, who smiled and thanked him with a large hug before taking Jane's cage and running off towards the robes show to get fitted.

Rose hopped on Hagrid's bike, grinning in excitement. "'Right, we're off 'ta go get Harry, so hang on tight!" Rose nodded and squealed in surprise when the giant motorcycle flew into the air. After about a hour and a half, a little hut came into view, but only barely as the heavy rain seemed to cloak Rose's view.

"Is that it, Hagrid?" Rose yelled, shielding her eyes from the harsh rain and wind that was surrounding them.

"Sure is," He called back. They landed and Hagrid told Rose to step back from the door when they had reached it. She did as told, and Hagrid knocked the door down after a few kicks.

Hagrid stepped inside and Rose followed suite. Hagrid started talking and eventually got to Harry after mistaking Dudley for him. "Oh and I have a friend here I think you know." Hagrid stepped out of the way so Rose was visable, a bright smile on her face.

"Rose! What are you doing here!?" Harry asked rushing over to me.

"Same thing as you, I reckon," Rose smirked, laughing slightly. Harry laughed as well and grabbed Rose in a tight hug which she returned.

Rose and Harry stopped their reunion long enough to see Dudley grow a tail, which Rose had to admit was the funniest thing she had seen in a while. "Come on Hagrid," Rose said after a while, leaning her head on Harry's shoulder. "We have to get back to Diagon Alley so Harry can get all his supplies!"

"Well I would agree with ye, but it seemed the storm is picking up. Don't want ter be out in this rain right about now. How about we stay here tonight and go in the morning?" Hagrid suggested, which Rose agreed to.

"Rose, what do you mean by supplies?" Harry asked in confusion, his eyebrows creasing as he glanced at his friend.

"Oh! Here!" Rose handed the letter Hagrid told her to give to Harry over to him. He took it, and opened it up excitedly after reading the front. He read it a few times before he looked at Rose again. "We're-we're wizards?" Harry asked, the letter falling limply to his side.

"Technically I'm a witch, but yes," Rose answered.
