I gasped, running over to Justin and Nick with Harry behind me. There was a sudden crashing sound and around the corner came Peeves. "Oooooooo, Potter and Black! You've been caught now! Hehehe!! THERES BEEN AN ATTACK" -Harry and I tried stopping him but he just kept yelling.- "ATTACK! ATTACK!!!" Peeves flew off, screaming that at the top of his lungs. Next thing we knew Minnie was marching us to Dumbledore's office.

"Sherbet lemon." Minnie said, making the gargoyles jump aside. Harry and I held hands nervously while walking up. We finally reached the top of the stair case were Minnie told us to wait inside. We silently walked inside until we saw a very ill, (but still pretty looking) bird on a perch.

"Hello there." I said softly. It nipped my finger affectionately before spreading its wings. Before I could say anything it burst into flames, scaring both Harry and I.

The door opened suddenly, and Professor Dumbledore walked in, his eyes twinkling.

"Professor! We're sorry! We didn't do anything-your bird-it just-" Harry gasped, staring at the perch. I stared as well, but not out of shock, out of confusion. The ash that the bird had left was moving, like something was trying to get out of it.

"Fawkes is a Phoenix, Harry." Dumbledore chuckled, smiling. "Phoenix's burst into flames when it is time for them to die, and are reborn from the ashes." I started over to the perch, moving some of the dust with my finger. A small head appeared, it was Fawkes! "It is quite sad that you had to meet him like this, he is quite handsome other times. Did you know Phoenixs have healing tears and can carry very heavy things? Remarkable creatures they are." Dumbledore said fondly. "But, there are more important matters to discuss, Harry, Rose." Dumbledore said, turning serious.

In the shock of what just happened I had forgotten why Harry and I were here, but know I remember. I opened my mouth to explain when the door burst open. Hagrid came tumbling in, breathing heavily.

"It's wasn' 'Arry or Rose, Professor Dumbledore!" Hagrid said urgently. "I was talkin' ter 'em seconds before that kid was found, they never had time, sir-" Dumbledore tried saying something but Hagrid kept talking.

"-It can't of bin them, I'll swear it in front o' the Ministry o' Magic!" Hagrid continued.

"Hagrid, I-"

"-Yeh've got the wrong couple, sir, I know Harry and Rose never-"

"Hagrid." Dumbledore said loudly. "I do not think that Harry nor Rose, attacked those people."

"Oh." Hagrid said, embarrassed. "Right. I'll wait outside then, Headmaster." Hagrid mumbled, going out the door.

"You don't think it was us, do you Professor?" I asked hopefully, Harry and I both turning around to face him.

"No, Rose, I do not. I would, however, still like to talk to you." Dumbledore said calmly, sitting down. "I must ask you two, wether there is anything you'd like to tell me. Anything at all." Dumbledore said gently. Harry and I shared meaningful looks before shaking our heads.

"No. There isn't anything, Professor...."
