Chapter 2: Foolstown Arcade On A Friday Night, Part 1: Friday

Kendall was at home and in their bedroom, listening to the album, Get To Heaven by Everything Everything on their CD player. Kendall then sighed.

"Man…" They said, "I still can't believe that I'm finally separated from my parents… I can still think about them… Damn it!"

Kendall then shut off their CD player.

"Ugh! Their actions towards me were sickening!" Kendall shouted. "I really need to let it go, but…"

Kendall sighed again.

"Something's up about me…" They said, "I just know it… But what?"

Kendall heard a knock on their front door.

"You're alright, Ken?" A Feminine voice asked from outside of the room.

"It's open." Kendall replied.

Kendall's cousin, Piper, opened the door.

"Hey, Piper." Kendall said. "Why are you still calling me Ken? I'm not 8.

"Heh heh, come on, you always call me Flute." Piper said. "And I always wanted to play the flute."

"But you're not playing it."

"Because I have other dreams to achieve!"

"Cool."

"Anyway, what's wrong?"

"Just… Lost."

"Oh, I see, everything that has been happening to you, before and after you came out as nonbinary, are all floating around you crazily."

"Yeah, I guess so…"

"Hey, I heard that your friends wanted to go to The Foolstown Arcade, yes?"

"Well… Kinda?"

"Don't worry."

Piper then hands out a 20 dollar bill and gives it to Kendall.

"This was supposed to be a birthday gift to you from me, but I'll always give you extra on your birthday later on." She said with a smile.

"Heh… Thanks." Kendall said. "You coming?"

"No, I'm not an arcade type of person."

"You don't like arcades?"

"Probably not, because why would I want to play a game with people walking by?"

"Figures… Thanks for the money."

"You're welcome."

Kendall's POV: Piper Wilson, my cousin from my Dad's brother's side, or my uncle, if you want to make it more clearer. She always has my back throughout my life… Even when I'm in situations like my abusive parents, she and my Aunt always supported me. I haven't seen my uncle in a while… I wonder what has happened to him. He left on Tuesday for a business trip.

-Friday… March 25th, 2022

A goth trans man was walking out of her last classroom for today. Then, Belinda was there to meet with her.

"Hey Vic!" Belinda said to her.

"Oh! Belinda! Hey!" Vic said as she blushed a bit.

"How's my favorite little fellow doing?"

"F-Favorite?!"

"Come on, we're besties!"

"Heh heh, sorry, got carried away…"

"It's fine."

"Um… Can I ask you something?"

"Sure, what's on your mind?"

"I was wondering if… You want to go to The Foolstown Arcade with me? I have the money for us to go there, tonight."

"Hell yeah I'm going!"

"Heh heh, so I guess that settles then, huh?"

"Sure does! What time should I pick you up?"

"No, I'll pick you up at 6PM."

"Ok, cool, I can wait at my house for you."

"Awesome!"

Belinda and Vic both happily walked away from each other. Kendall, Caroline and Roger saw Belinda walk by.

"He's in a good mood." Kendall said.

"Might be from the fact that she's going to The Foolstown Arcade with Vic." Roger said.

"Both of them must have really liked each other." Caroline said.

"Really?"

"I guess? It's just a feeling of mine."

Kendall then took a deep breath.

"You guys want to come to The Foolstown Arcade with me?" They asked Caroline and Roger. "My cousin gave me 20 dollars for all of us to go."

"Sure." Caroline replied.

"Yeah, I can go." Roger replied. "At least someone has actual money for us to go."

"What time should I pick you guys up?" Kendall asked.

"6PM?"

"6PM works." Caroline replied.

"Alright, 6PM it is then."

-5PM…

A phone call was made outside of the school. A shadowy figure was making the call on their phone.

"Yes, there's some folks right here in this school looking forward to going to The Foolstown Arcade with their buddies tonight." A Masculine voice said. "Yes, ma'am. You and I will lure more of them in at the time being."
