Chapter 36: A Plan To End The Game, Part 3

Kendall, Franklin, Nat and the ghosts of Vic and Richard were at the cafeteria. Kendall still had Nat’s fly visions on still as they and the others were reading what the documents of The History Of CODE: Insect are written. All of them were shocked.

“Mira…” Kendall said. “Juan… Yamato… Those cold-hearted monsters… They killed a lot more people than we thought…”

“I can’t believe that me and Nat somehow survived one of those games…” Franklin said.

“We were very lucky…” Nat said.

Kendall then closed the documents.

“Damn it…” They said, “We need to end this game right now!”

Kendall then turned to Richard and Vic.

“You two have any plans?” Kendall asked.

“No.” Richard replied.

“I got nothing either.” Vic replied.

“I see…” Kendall said as they sighed. “We have to think of something somehow…”

Juan and Yamato meanwhile were looking around for Lyric.

“Where is she?!” Juan shouted. “She can’t be hiding from us!”

Yamato was silent as he was looking around.

“You hear that?” He asked Juan. “Silence.”

“Si, I hear silence…” Juan replied. “And?”

Yamato then looked at a vent.

“Lyric’s already dead.” He replied. “One of the larger glitchy bugs must have secretly gotten her.”

“Huh… I see.” Juan said. “Good observation.”

Yamato then sighed.

“Let’s let Mira know about this.” He said,

“Alright.” Juan said.

As Yamato and Juan left, the ghost of Lyric floated through a wall as she looked at Yamato and Juan leaving. She then looked at herself as she's now a ghost.

“I guess I’m not dead, yet…” Lyric said, softly. “But… Does this mean that Malcolm is also a ghost?”

Lyric looks around.

“I gotta find Malcolm…” Lyric said as she started to float to wherever she’s going to. “I must go to the cafeteria to find Ant!”

Back in the cafeteria, Kendall was frustrated.

“Why did we even set foot to those arcades?!” They shouted, “Shit! We’re gonna die if we don’t think of something!”

Franklin patted Kendall on the back.

“Take it easy.” Franklin said. “You’re stressing yourself too much.”

Kendall takes a deep breath.

“I’m sorry…” They said, “I just gotta find something to end this shitshow…”

“Looking for me?” A Masculine voice said.

Kendall was shocked as they turned to see Malcolm as a ghost.

“Moth?!” Kendall shouted, shocked. “You’re a ghost now!”

“Let me see!” Nat shouted as Kendall gave back Nat’s Fly Visions to see Malcolm as a ghost. “Moth! How did you become a ghost?!”

“Monarch Butterfly killed me when me and Lyric tried to stop her.” Malcolm replied. “We were trying to find Ant here on the documents.”

Malcolm then looks at the documents.

“And… Here it is.” They said, “Thank God Lyric gave it to you.”

“Actually…” Nat said. “Lyric was killed by one of those glitchy bugs from the vents.”

“Wh-What? Then… She’s probably a ghost now, right?”

“She should be.” Richard replied. “But I don’t know where could–”

Lyric bumped into Malcolm.

“--she be…” Richard said as Lyric and Malcolm were on the ground.

“Malcolm! I found you!” Lyric said. “I knew you would be a ghost as well!”

“Lyric!” Malcolm said. “I’m sorry for leaving you…”

“No! It’s fine! It’s not your fault!”

Lyric then kissed Malcolm on the lips.

“There, much better.” Lyric said.

Malcolm blushed.

“Thanks.” He said,

“Oh, and apologies for bumping you over.” Lyric said as she laughed a bit.

“It’s fine.”

Both got up.

“Ok, now that you two are reunited again…” RIchard said, “...We need to think of a plan to end this game…”

“I have an idea.” Kendall said.

Nat then gave Kendall the Fly Visions.

“Go on.” Richard said.

“Let’s get the other remaining bugs back here.” Kendall said. “Maybe we’ll think of something together.”
