Chapter 15: This Isn't Their First Time Part Of The Game
Kendall was with Franklin and Nat in the lower left hallways of the Kingdom.
"So… Ant…" Nat said. "What do you want to talk about now that me and Mantis are here?"
"This is making me question you two all of a sudden…" Kendall said.
"You're… Questioning us?" Franklin said, confused. "What did we do?"
"Nothing! Nothing bad, I swear!"
"Ok…"
"Tell us what makes you question us, Ant…"
Kendall takes a deep breath.
"Have you two played this sort of game before?" They asked Franklin and Nat. "Because from what I've heard, I feel like you two experienced this a while ago, during your times or something."
Franklin and Nat were both shocked with what Kendall had said.
"Ant… No… Kendall, yes?" Franklin said. "It seems that that was the only thing you know about our past…"
"Huh?" Kendall said.
~A FLASHBACK OCCURRED~
Franklin's Narration: This isn't the first time me and Nat have played this game. Since we share the same neighborhood, the two of us would often see each other before heading to our different schools. I am a Softmore at a college while they're a Junior at a high school.
Nat's Narration: One time, he and I met each other again at an arcade named, "The Digital Spider Web." He made his visit as a gift for his little cousin's 12th birthday to this popular arcade in our area.
Franklin's Narration: The two of us then made our lives hang on a thread when we came across the CODE: Insect game in the backrooms. The two of us, alongside 3 other young folks around our ages that we don't know of, were all trapped.
Nat's Narration: During that game, we were different bugs compared to the ones we are now. Franklin was Beetle while I was Monarch Butterfly. Mira, or Monarch Butterfly as of now was Centipede during our first game.
Franklin's Narration: At first, we were both terrified with how this was played out. Now as times go by, we play this game like our lives depend on it.
Nat's Narration: Franklin won the first game by defeating Mira. Mira got away with the crimes back then. Now, she's back and got two henchmen to help with her plans. We decided to go into the game again to stop her, once and for all! Even if it costs our lives!
~FLASHBACK END~
"Oh my God…" Kendall said. "You two experienced this feeling for the first time as I did for the first time right now…"
"Yup." Nat said.
"And now that we're all here, I think it's safe for the three of us to watch each other's backs in case something happens." Franklin said. "Who knows what will happen if one of us decides to backstab one another here…"
"And since the three of us pretty much are brave enough–" Nat said.
"--I'm barely brave!" Kendall said.
"Heh heh, we'll see what happens."
At one corner, Yamato was hearing the conversation.
"So… Mantis and Fly have played this game before…" He said, "And me and Dragonfly weren't part of that last game… Has Monarch Butterfly played this game before? This is hurting my mind…"
