Chapter 28: Security Increased!, Part 2
Kendall and Roger meanwhile appeared in the cafeteria together.
"Man... I feel bad for Belinda." Kendall said.
"Yeah..." Roger said as he sighed. "Even though we have our issues as friends, she really lost someone that she likes the most..."
"Does she and Vic like each other more than friends?"
"I don't know. Ask Belinda after we survive this game."
"Ok... But, do we know if we're gonna survive though?"
"I honestly don't know anymore. My mind is fucked all of a sudden... Give me some space, Kendall..."
"Alright, sorry..."
Vic meanwhile appeared as a ghost in a hallway.
"Hello?" She hollered, "Anyone here?"
Richard's ghost appeared.
"Ladybug?" Richard said.
Vic turned to see Richard.
"Maggot?" Vic said.
"Yup..." Richard replied. "Looks like you're a ghost as well, huh?"
"What killed me?!"
"I don't know... It's a mystery, I'll tell you that much."
Vic sighed.
"I'm worried about Belinda..." She said,
"Arachnid?" Vic wonders.
"Yes... I don't want her to die as well... He, Kendall, Roger and Caroline... One of them needs to win this just so we can all get out of here!"
"Don't worry, now that we're ghosts, we can now sabotage our enemies here. And I know who they are. Follow me. Oh, and don't worry, none of the remaining insects alive here can see us. We can even go through walls and be fast."
"That's nice... And I'm right behind you wherever you're taking me."
Meanwhile, Mira was finishing up a feature for The Kingdom.
"Almost ready..." She said, "And now, to put it to the test."
Mira then puts on her space suit as she then teleports outside of The Kingdom. She then walks over to a control panel at the center of The Kingdom's roof.
"Let's see if this ship can signal the ghosts and where they are from here." She said as she activates it on one of the plugins of the control panel.
Inside, Franklin and Nat were finishing up with making the medicare room new again.
"Is everything clean?" Nat asked.
"Yup." Franklin replied. "Looks like it."
Then, a barrier was being scanned around the medicare room.
"What was that?" Franklin wonders.
"Seems like some sort of barrier..." Nat replied. "But what was it for?"
"It didn't affect us... Or did it?"
Meanwhile, Sofia and Penelope were making out in a supply closet until they saw a barrier being passed through them.
"What the heck was that?" Penelope wonders.
"I... I don't know..." Sofia replied, confused.
Both girls went outside to see the barrier going through their right.
"Weird." Penelope said.
Then, an announcement went off.
"Attention, insects!" A Feminine voice hollered. "The security to our Kingdom has been increased!"
"Huh?" Sofia wonders. "What does she mean by that?"
Kendall and Roger meanwhile heard the announcement in the cafeteria.
"Those still alive will have armor." The announcement said. "That means when someone tries to attack, the armor will act as a one-time shield. What that also means is that to die, you must get hit, twice."
"Huh, sounds fair." Roger said. "I'm sure that will help."
In the computer room, Malcolm and Lyric heard the announcement there.
"And any large glitchy bugs that would spawn are decreased." The announcement said. "However, medium glitchy bugs that would spawn are increased.
"Great, more bugs to deal with." Malcolm said as Lyric hugged him. "And don't worry, we'll take them all down together."
"Got it..." Lyric said, worried.
The ghosts of Vic and Richard meanwhile were floating to the meeting room until they heard something that would change the way they play CODE: Insect.
"There will be a limited number of bugs that will have the power to see ghosts of undead players." The announcement said.
"Wh-WHAT?!" Richard shouted. "BUT WHY?!"
"And those bugs will be..."
