Kendall meanwhile was alone in the cafeteria.
“Man… This is getting intense.” They said, “Last time I tried to walk here, some glitchy mantises almost killed me. Luckily, I had some barbed wire grenades to slow them down and weaken them…”
Franklin entered the cafeteria.
“Kendall!” Franklin said. “We need you!”
“What’s going on?” Kendall wonders.
“We’ll tell you later! Come on”
“Ok, I’m getting up!”
Malcolm and Lyric meanwhile were reading The History Of CODE: Insect folder.
“CODE: Insect… An arcade game made by a small indie team called Mira Mighty.” Malcolm said while reading. “Unfortunately, Mira, the executive producer of Mira Mighty and CODE: Insect, didn’t have the popularity she was hoping to desire as the team were bombed by critics… Deciding to give them karma, she, Yamato and Juan decided to turn this arcade game into a trap. They worked for 2 years… Until one day, in 2018, the game became a reality. A killing reality…”
Lyric was shocked.
“Today is 2022…” Lyric said.
“Exactly…” Malcolm said. “They’ve been doing this for almost 4 years… Those cold-hearted pieces of human waste…”
“What else is in there?”
“Let me see…”
Malcolm was shocked to see the history of matches.
“Holy shit!” He shouted, “They have a lot of matches! And they killed a lot of people! These are their player profiles!”
Malcolm shows Lyric the player profiles.
“Oh my God…” Lyric said as she saw one. “The girl that used to bully me in the 8th Grade! Nevada! She was the Ladybug class in the game and died from Mira as the… Mantis class?”
Malcolm then flipped to another page and saw someone he might know.
“Oh my God…” They said, shocked. “Cousin Walter! That’s who killed you?!”
“Walter was killed by Mira?!” Lyric shouted, shocked.
“Yes! He was in the Firefly class… Killed by Mira as the Beetle class…”
“So this whole class system is random?”
“Seems likely…”
“What about the winners of each game?”
“It seems that every winner is either Mira, Yamato or Juan… But they are in different bug classes… They seemed smarter than us.”
“How are we gonna evade them?”
“I don’t know, Lyric… That’s something we must figure out with the other bugs.”
“Let’s show this to Ant! They might learn from this as well to get some ideas on what to do!”
“Right! But first!”
Malcolm looked around outside of the closet to see if no one was there.
“Ok, the coast is clear!” They said, “Let’s go find Ant!”
