Chapter 16: Insects In Action, Part 1

Belinda and Vic meanwhile were in the cafeteria.

"I'm cleaning the kitchen." Vic said. "You should take out the trash."

Belinda sighed.

"Gotcha, hun." She said to Vic.

Vic blushed.

"Did… Did she just… Call me hun?" She wonders, "I don't know, must have been a feeling."

Roger then walked inside.

"Hey, I'm doing a task here." He said to Vic. "Is Belinda here?"

"He is." Vic replied.

"Figures."

Roger looked at Belinda and both sighed.

"Sorry about before." Belinda said.

"It's fine." Roger said. "I started it."

"Knew it."

As Roger walked to his task, he stopped and heard crawling in the ceilings.

"You two heard that?" Roger said to Belinda and Vic.

"Heard what?" Vic wonders.

Roger then got out what seemed to be a Firefly's Radar Dart.

"I need to see who's there." He said, "Through the ceiling, to be exact."

Roger then threw his radar dart at the ceiling and noticed a big silhouette of a mantis.

"Oh shit!" Belinda said. "That's in the ceilings?!"

"It is." Roger replied. "But we have to stay calm or else that thing might attack…"

The mantis in the ceilings then crawled away, causing its silhouette to disappear.

"It's gone." Roger said as he forcefully grabbed his radar dart from the ceilings. "Let's see where it's going…"

As Roger then walked outside, he saw the mantis. He quickly closed the door.

"Ok, it's outside!" Roger shouted. "We have to think of something to get rid of it!"

Roger looked at Belinda.

"You got any special powers?" Roger asked.

"Let me see." Belinda replied as she waved her hands mid-air. "Ok, I have a machete and… A robotic spider?"

"What does that spider even do?!" Vic shouted.

"I'm gonna use it right now!"

Belinda then had a robotic spider appear out of her hair and crawled down to her hand.

"Wow." He said, "That's kinda cool and all, but what does this little fellow even do?!"

Belinda then had the robotic spider crawl down to the ground as it approached the door.

"Roger!" She shouted, "Open the door!"

Roger then quickly opened the door as Belinda's robotic spider then crawled towards the glitchy mantis. It roared at the spider. The spider then started to glitch as it appeared to start to explode.

"That spider is gonna blow to smithereens!" Belinda shouted. "Close the door, Roger!"

Roger then closed the door as fast as possible. The robotic spider then created a big explosion, destroying itself and blowing the glitchy mantis to smithereens. Roger opened the door again to see the aftermath of the explosion.

"Holy shit…" He said, "Holy shit… Belinda… Thank God that didn't kill us…"

"Wasn't expecting that to happen." Belinda said as she chuckled a bit. "But I'm sure it won't happen again…"

Back inside, Roger and Belinda saw Vic playing with some sort of watch she had on.

"Hey, Vic." Belinda said. "Does that watch do anything?"

"I don't know." Vic replied. "It's giving me the option to flip a coin from the watch."

"Flip the coin." Roger said.

A digital coin then appeared mid-air as it started to flip. It landed on heads, and its effect is that it removes the cooldowns on Vic's ability and the closest insects' abilities.

"Cooldown Reset." Vic said. "I guess our abilities can be used again."

"That's nice." Roger said.

"We kinda find that useful." Belinda said. "But… It's all up to luck."

"Hey, that's pretty much what the Ladybug class is for me." Vic said. "Being lucky."

"Maybe a support class or something?" Roger wonders.

"Guess so…"

"Anyways, let's head back to our tasks."
