Chapter 13: Meeting Time
All 19 Insects then appeared in the Meeting Room. Mira then looked at them all. Richard looked around.
"Wh-Where's Ivy at?" Richard wonders.
"I don't know…" Susie replied next to them.
Mira then got out of her seat and raised her arms up.
"Insects, let's start our first meeting." She said as she had them all sit down before sitting down for herself. "Alright, a meeting was adjourned because someone had found a dead body."
Ollie and Chloe raised their hands.
"We set up the meeting." Ollie replied.
"Oui." Chloe said. "And the insect we found dead was Caterpillar."
Richard was shocked. He was hurt.
"I-Ivy…" He said softly as she was about to cry, "Who did this to you?"
Susie looked at Richard.
"Richard…" Susie said as she looked at Mira, Yamato and Juan. "Those three… One of them must have killed Ivy…"
Mira then sighed.
"It seems that one of us has fallen…" She said, "But… I'm afraid that it might not be at the hands of the glitchy bugs here in our Kingdom…"
Penelope raised her hand.
"Who did it anyways?" She asked.
Mira then looked at Penelope with fear.
"It might be one of us!" She replied with seriousness.
Everyone except Franklin, Nat, Fritz, Yamato, Juan and Mira got shocked.
"So what you're saying is that one of us… Killed… Caterpillar?" Caroline said. "Is that… Even possible?"
"It is." Mira replied. "But since all of you acted so normal around here, one of you might be hiding away your insanity."
Everyone was quiet.
"Ok, here's what we're gonna do." Mira said as she turned to Ollie and Chloe. "Where was Caterpillar killed?"
"At the control panel." Ollie replied.
"Do we tell you who killed her?" Chloe asked.
"That will happen in a moment." Mira replied. "Because for now, we will all take a vote."
Chatter erupted.
"A vote?" Kendall said.
"Most of us weren't even with Caterpillar!" Malcolm said.
"Can we just skip the vote?!" Penelope shouted.
"Insects, silence!" Mira shouted, shutting the chattery up.
Mira took a deep breath.
"If you don't know who did it, then you can skip the vote." She replied. "Those who are trying to figure out who killed Caterpillar, you are free to vote. Do I make myself clear?"
Everyone nodded.
"Good." Mira said. "Let's start with one Insect I'm choosing and then we'll go around the table. Depends on how I want the direction to go."
