Chapter 4: Welcome To CODE: Insect, Part 1
~START UP COMPLETE. WELCOME, TO CODE: INSECT.~
"Ugh…" Kendall groaned as they slowly got up from a sudden slumber. "Jeez…"
Kendall then looked around in confusion.
"Huh?" They wonder, "Where am I? This isn't The Foolstown Arcade, or better yet home… Am I dreaming? This has to be a dream…"
Kendall then got up and looked at a mirror. They noticed that they were wearing a different style of clothing.
"What the heck?" They said, confused. "Why am I wearing this all of a sudden?"
Kendall took a deep breath.
"Ok, where's Caroline and the others?" They wonder, "I gotta see what's up around–"
Kendall then heard a glitchy shriek.
"--Gah!" They shouted in fear. "Who's there?!"
Kendall then saw the same glitchy spider as before crawling on the ceilings of the left hallway, from Kendall's left in the room they were in.
"IT'S YOU!" Kendall shouted as they then started to run down the center hallway that Kendall is facing. "I WON'T LET YOU TAKE ME DOWN AGAIN!"
Kendall continues running.
"Can't let that thing kill me!" They shouted in fear as they then saw a door leading to another room. "A-ha!"
Kendall then quickly went into the other room and locked the door. The glitchy spider then tried to barge right in, but couldn't. It then looked up and started to crawl up.
"Holy shit…" Kendall said as they were in the other room. "What the hell is happening?! Are we really in the game?!"
Kendall then started to search for self-defense.
"I need something to protect myself!" They said, "What do I need?!"
Kendall then saw a box of random things and went in it. They continued to scatter the items in the box around until they found what appears to be an audio recorder.
"An audio recorder!" They shouted, "Hopefully someone gets my message from here!"
Kendall then turns on the audio recorder to record their voice.
"H-Hello?! Is this thing on?!" They shouted, "Ok, good! My name is Kendall Wilson! I'm hopefully recording this audio to give you a message! Me and my friends are trapped in this virtual world! This arcade game, which is called–"
Kendall then heard crawling from the vent in the room.
"--Oh no!" They shouted, "Something is coming towards me!"
The glitchy spider appeared out of the vent and shrieked at Kendall as it started to move closer.
"No! Stay back! Get away from me!" Kendall shouted.
The glitchy spider then launched towards Kendall.
"HELP MEEEEEE!!!" Kendall shouted in fear.
Then, the door kicked open and some sort of strange weapon was thrown at the spider, damaging it. It roared in pain.
"What the?!" Kendall shouted as they saw the spider roaring and turning around to another person. "What's happening?!"
