Ch.34 An alignment

Just a quick thing to say before I continue- I think I won't post on Saturday and Sundays. I might but there is a high chance I won't. Turns out it's easier to write in school than at home. Ya know, be productive at school but a lazy bum at home.

Obito didn't move where he stood, he was looking at Naruto without realizing it.

"You did a lot of things... Because of Rin's death." Naruto finally said breaking Obito out of his thoughts. Obito only narrowed his eyes in response. "It had been planned by Madera that you witness Rin's death." Naruto let his words sink in.

"What do you mean by that." Obito despite trying to hide it, went somewhat pale. "I don't know the details. I mean... I wasn't born yet." Naruto looked at the morning sky. It was humid.

"Rin had killed herself using Kakashi's chidori." Naruto didn't look at Obito. He didn't need to. He knew as soon as he finished his sentence that Obito had heard him. Loud and clear.

Obito didn't reply.

"I know you killed my parents." Naruto finally said. Obito looked at Naruto's eyes. "And I hate you for that. But maybe, in another lifetime. I'll actually hold a grudge." Naruto smiled at Obito's confused expression. "Why not hate me?" Obito finally said.

"Because I don't have the energy to hate anymore." Naruto's eyes darkened. "We traveled back in time to fix things. Not to have revenge on someone." Obito crouched next to Naruto. Everything in his body screamed that Naruto was lying, that whoever this blonde was, he was crazy and some guy that told convincing lies. But Obito, Obito knew better.

"I have doubts I can return to the village. If that's what you hope for. I don't want to return." Obito finally said looking at the village. Naruto eyes hardened.

"For Kakashi's damn sake. Just talk to him" Naruto said without looking at Obito. He could feel Obito tense.

"You have yet to do anything worse than Killing Minato and Kushina. Take that for granted." Naruto finally looked at Obito. His face was blank. Unfortunately in the end, for so long, Obito held a grudge against his old teammate.

"I don't care if you don't return or not. Just as long as you don't continue Zetsu's plan." Naruto's words were harsh. But Obito understood. No doubt Naruto had lost many people due to the infinite Tsukuyomi.

"I'll try to come back. As an apology of sorts." Obito said. Naruto's eyes widened. Obito agreed? Obito didn't smile. His face was as blank as it was before. Obito rested his head on his hand. "The future?" Obito said looking at Naruto. I mean anyone would be curious.

"Ah. Yea sure ask away." Naruto smiled at Obito. Obito didn't show it. He hated how much Naruto was like himself. If the boulder had fallen on Kakashi maybe he would've been the same way, when he found out Kakashi had been alive.

Shikamaru tilted his head. At this point he had thrown Guy down to Asuma. And Asuma no doubt knew he was there. But Asuma did nothing.

Finally after an hour, Kuranai had yet to return with any Ninja. "Why did you stop us?" Asuma finally said. "From following Kakashi and your friend. What were they doing?" Shikamaru's eyes narrowed.

Before Asuma had time to ask any further questions there were Medical Ninja. "Finally, took them long enough." Shikamaru thought as he turned around. As he was going to go. Someone yelled his name. "Shikamaru!" Shikamaru paled slightly. Someone knew his name. And that someone, had been his dad.

He turned around. His father's eyes were looking directly at Shikamaru. His father's eyes widened. Everyone was staring at him. "What." Shikamaru finally said. He was finding this somewhat amusing.

"Your son?" Asuma finally said. Shikaku looked at Asuma. The other Ninja were looking at him, confused. "Yes. My son." Shikaku didn't want to explain the whole future thing. "Get down here." Shikaku was tired of wondering where his son was.

Shikamaru looked at his father. "Okay?" He jumped down to the surprise of all of them. Asuma especially. "Why is he older? Did you teach him how to use henge?" Asuma said. Shikamaru, had beaten their ass. Wasn't he supposed to be like 7?

"Where have you been?" Shikaku could feel the stares of the other Shinobi but ignored it. "You know I'm busy, with the whole future thing." Shikamaru said tiredly. No one knew what they were talking about. Future? What do you mean future? "I hope to see you back in the village. "I need to talk to you." Shikaku left it at that. He instructed the others to leave. And left himself.

Shikamaru narrowed his eyes. What he did was stupid. To reveal himself to so many people, but. He couldn't ignore his father. Everything in his body told him that he couldn't, so he listened.

But now. He needed to get back to the village. The faster he could talk to his father. The faster this feeling in his gut would subside.

Shikamaru jumped from tree to tree. Before he knew it, he actually beat the medical team and his father back to the village.

Shikaku stopped at the gates of the village. Shikamaru took that as his cue to jump down next to his father.

"What did you need to talk about." They were getting glares from other civilians and Shinobi as they walked by. It probably confused them since Shikamaru was a literal duplicate of his father. "I need to talk to you about this whole future thing." Shikaku finally said. His father continued. "I have been talking to the Hokage. He is suspicious of all three of you. Not to mention of me. He caught me talking to Naruto, back when I had first found out. I'm under suspicion." Shikamaru felt his heart sink. Those were his fears. "His father was getting dragged down because of his actions. Because of his idea to tell him."
