Ch.45 Beginning of A mission

A few days had passed, since the Hokage deemed them ninja and Shikamaru was making a full recovery, the only thing bothering him now were migraines.

Naruto was walking along the road. He had been busy thinking. Soon, he would be going on his 'first' mission. He quickly realized they were made ninja so they could be easily observed but he supposed it was a win-win situation.

Naruto looked to his side. And there was Obito at his side. It's been like this for a few days. Ever since Obito had returned he seemed to spend more time with Naruto than anyone else. Naruto didn't mind, it was constant company that was enjoyable.

"Did you get assigned a mission yet Obito?" Naruto looked at the Uchiha. The Uchiha nodded. "Actually yea, I don't think we will be on the same mission though." Obito shrugged. "Yea that would make sense." Naruto looked ahead of himself. "Are those our teams?" Naruto said as he narrowed his eyes. Obito shrugged. They continued there walk before getting stopped by the group of Shinobi.

"The Hokage is busy, but he told us that you two would come here soon." A blonde Shinobi said. Naruto nodded. "We will brief you on the mission Tobi as we leave." Naruto nodded and waved Obito goodbye.

Obito waved back and looked at his own team. It was mostly people he didn't know, but he knew Asuma. "Then...?" Obito finally said. Asuma nodded. "Yea we are your team, I'll brief you."

Naruto looked around himself.

Apparently this mission was a recovery mission. Which worried him. "We are recovering what, exactly?" Naruto questioned. A black curly haired Shinobi answered his question. "A couple of our scrolls went missing we guess that someone infiltrated and took them." Naruto stared hard at the black hair Shinobi.

"Ah! Shuisi! I didn't recognize you!" Naruto finally said. The other Shinobi glanced back at Naruto but quickly ignored him.

Shuisi raised an eyebrow. "I don't know you?" Naruto smiled slightly. "I know Sota." Shuisi's eyes widened. "Ah! So your-" Shuisi cut himself off. "Tobi." Shuisi finally said.

"Enough catching up!" The team leader (Naruto guessed) yelled at them. "We are on a mission at professional!" Naruto nodded but Shuisi just rolled his eyes. "whatever."

It was a couple hours of running through trees and the occasional break to rest before they reached what Naruto guessed was the destination.

Naruto looked over the location. It was a sketchy looking house, gray in color. but what made him feel off was the aura that came off of it. Something was wrong. Naruto was about to speak before being interrupted. "You know what scrolls look like, they should have the leaf emblem on it." The blonde Shinobi said quietly.

Naruto nodded slowly. "There is something wrong with this house. It's not normal." Shuisi looked at him and nodded. But the team leader scoffed. (The natural arrogance of someone who thinks they are better than everyone else.)

"They most likely have a barrier around the place so anybody unwelcome can't come in. And if they do, they will be alerted." The team leader crouched.

Naruto's eyes tightened. "It's possible. But I believe that isn't it, I've seen barriers before." The team leader shook her head. "We don't even know how long you have been a Shinobi." Naruto felt his grip tighten. "It had been years since he worked on a mission with anybody other than Sasuke and Shikamaru." Maybe he just wasn't used to being disagreed with.

Naruto slowly nodded and looked back to the house. There was no warning and the other three team members jumped down and entered the house. Leaving Shuisi and Naruto behind.

Naruto widened his eyes. "What kind of teamwork is this?" Shuisi shrugged. "An idiots teamwork." Before they could jump down after the rest of the team the house exploded.

Debris was going at them at a fast rate. Before Shuisi knew it there was a giant yellow hand of chakra in front of him. Shuisi looked over at Naruto. He was yellow.

Naruto cussed. He quickly turned back to normal, and jumped back down to the used to be house. There was no sign of his teammates. But there was a trapdoor.

Shuisi followed Naruto. "Do you think they are down there?" Shuisi asked. Naruto nodded. "Makes me wonder if they went down there willingly." Naruto opened the trapdoor and jumped down, Shuisi following soon after.

It was full of dust he couldn't see anything. Shuisi coughed. The place looked like a basement, just maybe 2 times bigger than a normal one.

Naruto stood in a defense position until the dust cleared. Naruto's eyes widened. There was about 6 enemy Shinobi. 2 of them made up of his own teammates. The third one laid on the ground unconscious. He could still feel his chakra, so the man wasn't dead.

Naruto looked back up to his old team leader and the blonde. They smirked. "You know... It's funny how easy it is to get into the leaf village." A purple haired man said with a grin.

"Who are you." Naruto knew better than to make small talk. He learned that lesson a long time ago. Kakashi had died when he had been 'talking' to another enemy Ninja.

The purple haired ninja's smile turned into a frown. "I thought that you were another enemy Ninja as well honestly. But you seem to be loyal to the hidden leaf village." Naruto narrowed his eyes.

Before he had time to ask another question a Kunai was thrown at his cheek. He blocked using his hand. He winced. The throwing velocity of the Kunai was not normal. He looked at his hand and pulled out the Kunai. It had almost went through his hand.

Naruto looked up again with a scowl. Before the enemy Ninja had time to laugh at Naruto they watched as the wound on his hand closed.

They looked in shock as Naruto flexed his hand and took out his own Kunai. He knew he needed to get the real leaf Shinobi to safety and that hindered him. But. He wasn't alone. He was with none other than Shuisi, Shuisi of the body flicker.
