Hiruzen took off his usual Hokage coat and hat. "We need to make this quick." Hiruzen looked over at his old student. "Yea of course, your busy and all." Jiraiya shrugged.
Jiraiya leapt over a tree branch and continued from the branches. If they hurried they would get there in just a couple of hours. That's what happens when Hokage grade Shinobi went somewhere.
"What do you believe happened?" Jiraiya looked over at his teacher. "Their story, how they fought. Maybe they lied when they said they fought at 18." Hiruzen sighed. Why would they lie about that?
Jiraiya nodded. "It seems believable but if the chakra burst came from them... We aren't dealing with normal Shinobi." Jiraiya sped up, the faster they found out what happened the better.
"I should probably tell you something." Kurama said as he summoned Naruto into the usual sewage system that he resided in. Naruto looked at the Kyūbi. "Like what? Is it about the Valley of the end?" Naruto inquired. Kurama laughed.
"It actually is." Kurama had a look that said "I can't believe someone like you, could guess correctly." Naruto shook his head and sighed. "Well get on with it." Kurama nodded. "Fine."
Kurama rested his head on his paw with his tails fiercely moving behind him. "I didn't know at first. As this Jutsu, is mostly unknown." Naruto didn't reply. "What I do know. Is that whoever goes back in time using the Jutsu, anything holding any significance will change, if only slightly." Naruto furrowed his eyebrows.
"You didn't bother saying this before?" Naruto crossed his arms. "Kurama is being so secretive about this Jutsu. Leaving out things that should've been said before we even used it."
Naruto uncrossed his arms and looked back at the Kyūbi intensely. "What are you saying. What have you not said, that we should know." Kurama gazed at his holder quietly.
"When I tell you things. Then it is the time you should know. When I don't. Then there is no need for you to know." Kurama grunted at the now annoyed Naruto.
For the first time in several years. Kurama used his chakra to rid Naruto of the mindscape. When Naruto opened his eyes. There above him was Obito. Naruto sat up quickly. Due to the summon of Naruto to Kurama happening so fast, he had fallen to the ground with no gracefulness.
"I felt the Kyūbi chakra coming from you." Obito made his curiosity known. "Yea." Naruto didn't continue but scratched the back of his head. "Were you talking to him?" Obito helped Naruto stand. "Yes I was. He had to inform me of something." Naruto had hit his head on the ground causing a slow but steady throb in his head.
Obito narrowed his eyes. "About the future jutsu you were talking about?" Naruto nodded. "Apparently he hadn't thought to tell us before. Something important." Naruto scoffed. "You know how I was talking about the burst of Chakra coming from The Valley Of The End?" Obito nodded. "It must've have been because of you then?" Naruto nodded. "Yea and we didn't have the chance to try to clean it up. The Hokage is already on his way there."
Obito stiffened slightly. "You really don't want them knowing?" Naruto shook his head. "If people were to be aware, especially someone like Jiraiya or the Hokage, they would feel inclined to do something about it. If they do they might just quicken the process in the first place." Obito nodded slowly. "Why not stop them?" Naruto calculated Obito's gaze.
"If I were to do so. I would just be making it known I am an enemy. Even though I'm not." Obito nodded. "Makes sense." Naruto stared at him for a moment. Probably making Obito uncomfortable in the process. "Are you going to return to the village soon?" Obito flinched slightly.
"It's not as easy as it sounds." Naruto nodded. "Sasuke was the same way." Obito looked at Naruto before shrugging. "Well then take me to the village. Tobi." Obito said mockingly. Naruto turned slightly red from embarrassment. "Shut up! What makes you any better!" Naruto ran after Obito.
"What... What happened?" Jiraiya stared at the what was supposed to be The Valley Of The End. Everything was in shambles. The statue's of Madera and Hashirama we're still intact. But pieces of them were in the river. There seemed to be charred marks on the statues and on the surrounding mountains. There even seemed to be a part of the mountain where a person impacted the wall. Hard.
"How can something like this happen in matter of a week?" Jiraiya said in disbelief. "Maybe it didn't. It happened and they covered it up." Hiruzen's words were, well, exaggerated. But what explanation can be given, for something like this?
Jiraiya slowly nodded. "If they managed to actually conceal it, from me. Then... They really aren't everyday leaf Shinobi." Hiruzen nodded. "We need to get back as soon as possible. They cannot go unsupervised." Jiraiya nodded, before turning around.
Shikamaru was standing on top of a building. He was waiting for the Hokage and Jiraiya to return. He needed to know what they saw. Shikamaru tapped the ground impatiently. Shikamaru sighed. "I really hope it's not what we think it is. What can we say? To explain whatever happened there." Shikamaru sat in silence for a few minutes. "Sasuke would've never said anything about the fight if we knew beforehand about places changing if they held significance." Shikamaru stared at the gates apparently concentrating to hard.
Shikamaru all of a sudden felt a presence behind him but before he could throw any defense he was knocked off the building and fell head first into the ground. Knocking him out in the process. Shikamaru felt the breath knocked out of him. Before he fully lost consciousness he saw himself being dragged by Anbu. "Dammit." Shikamaru finally went limp. All he heard was the beat of his own heart and felt his throbbing (most likely bleeding) head.
