Ch.57 The joining of forces

Naruto looked above him with wide eyes. There was a meteor above the entire leaf. When they were fighting the first time Pein had done this same thing, but now. It had to be 10x bigger than the last one. Did Pein really feel that cornered?

Naruto took quick glances around himself and so did Sasuke. There had to be several people still in the rubble, and there had to be all the Shinobi surround there fight. Naruto inwardly cursed.

His ear drums had been healing but all he could hear now was a high ringing sound. Sasuke's mouth moved once more but Naruto could hear him.

"I- I can't hear you Sasuke!" Naruto finally yelled. He didn't know how loud, but Sasuke acknowledged his words. Sasuke ran up to Naruto and pointed at Naruto's chest.

Sasuke missing arm had turned into a variation of his Susanoo.

Naruto's eyes widened. Of course! Naruto didn't know where he would be without Sasuke.

Naruto nodded. He felt a surge of heat surround himself. He felt himself slowly rising until he could see over the leaf villages border walls. Now he had been an Imitation of the nine tails just yellow.

Hiruzen's eyes widened. And so did everyone's else's it seemed. Naruto, Naruto had just became the Ninetails. Before anybody could even comment on the sight, a purple like armour started to shift around the nine tails body. Until eventually it covered the head and tails.

They looked up, the meteor had to be approaching at a fast rate. Though it was hard to tell if it was getting bigger or not.

Naruto felt himself wince. His chakra reserves, despite being rather large, had started to bother him. He still couldn't hear but he could definitely feel the pressure of the meteor. Then something resonated within himself.

He felt a surge in chakra. And he recognized it. The tailed beast chakra that he was gifted during the war.

It wasn't much, but that means he won't die using up his chakra reserves.

Both him and Sasuke moved so the ninetails was standing on its hind legs with it's claws in the air.

"Shadow clone jutsu!" Sasuke yelled and a poof of smoke encircled himself. There was another Sasuke. The Sasuke ran up onto the meteor.

The immense weight of the meteor pushed Naruto and Sasuke further into the ground they had be at least 10 feet in the ground at this point. Suddenly the sky itself darkened.

Shikamaru looked at the scene if front of him, but not for long. He saw the Pein trying to escape, they needed to kill him. Unless they wanted Nagato and Konan to run away. Shikamaru forced his hands together. The meteor provided the shadow he needed. A long dark trail branched into several as it caught the feet of the last 3 Peins that remained. Shikamaru felt the tug in chakra battling for control. But he will keep this up, at least until Naruto and Sasuke are finished.

There was a loud crack and a boom. An Imitation of thunder. Naruto himself couldn't see what was going on, but others could. A giant sized electric dragon reined the sky's, and started to charge at the meteor.

Before anyone could stop them. People started to run towards the ninetails. The bubbling chakra around all of them dispersed once they closed in onto the ninetails. Itachi looked up at Naruto and Sasuke with wide eyes. How could only two Shinobi be capable of something like this?

Then finally. They meteor exploded. Only half but it was easier to deal with now than it had been when it was a full meteor. Luckily for all of them, this wasn't Madera's doing, another meteor wasn't going to come.

Naruto felt the ninetails chakra disappear around himself and he started to fall. Sasuke's shadow clone had long dispersed. The other half of the meteor started to fall with them. But Shuisi himself in his green Susanoo struck it with it's sword. The meteor formed into smaller pieces and landed onto the leaf village. Still damaging, but better than an entire meteor.

Shuisi grabbed Naruto and Sasuke before setting them down, the Susanoo disappearing soon after.

Itachi ran up to his younger (older?) Brother. "Are you okay?" Sasuke slowly nodded. He definitely was feeling the effects of chakra exhaustion but ignored it. There had to be all the village Shinobi surrounding them. Naruto slowly sat up. He could finally hear again but the ringing was far from absent.

"Naruto?" Naruto looked at the direction of the Hokage. "Hm?" Naruto was not without a massive headache. All of them seemed to be in disbelief that the runt of the village, had been the saviour.

Shikamaru saw his dad. He needed to let someone know that he was here restraining Pein. "Dad!" Shikamaru yelled. The figure in the distance stopped and looked at him. Then he was running really fast towards him. Shikamaru's eyes widened. "Slow down!" Shikamaru yelled at his father. "I need you to tell Naruto to come to me or Sasuke!" His father's face was barely visible but he saw a nod and his father was running the other direction.

Shikamaru almost sighed in relief, but it was cut short but a sudden gust. It threatened Shikamaru's hands to move, but he remained still. That's what had been happening for the past 10 minutes. He had been struggling to retain control over the Peins. The only thing that allowed him to keep Pein here this long is that fact that he has chakra exhaustion.

Naruto turned his head. It was Shikaku yelling at him. "Shikamaru!" Is all he heard. But Sasuke seems to hear more than Naruto. Sasuke looked at Naruto frantically. "Hurry let's go." Sasuke and Naruto began to run. The people around them out in their complaints and followed. "Your near chakra exhaustion Naruto!" The Hokage yelled as he followed Naruto and Sasuke.

Naruto looked over at the Hokage. "I've had worse." He liked that the Hokage cared, but he didn't even know what they were doing.

All up until he saw Shikamaru and his shadow slowly thinning. The shadow that trapped the last few Peins from leaving. Shikamaru wasn't in good shape. It was a plausible guess that Shikamaru had been dealing with constant gravity shifts and pushes. And there was a rod in his shoulder and leg. Naruto looked around himself. "You guys need to deal with them." Sasuke looked at Naruto hesitantly. "Are you sure. We can always wait." Naruto shook his head. "Now is the time. We can prevent many things if I do this now." Sasuke remained silent and his eyes betrayed his emotionless face. "Just don't get yourself killed." Naruto smiled. "Of course not." Naruto said as he ran towards the direction he felt chakra coming from. He felt it ever since he got to the village. Konan's and Nagato's chakra.
