CHAPTER 1

CHAPTER 1: "Finally in Korea"

Jona Mendez is a 19-year-old Filipino girl who was so obsessed with every 2D characters who fit her standards: brown haired, mama's boy, 6 foot tall, softie, strong, gentleman and pretty boy. She even wrote these characteristics in her bucket list. She'd also been dreaming to go to Korea so she begged her parents to let her study college in that country. Her parents agreed but they're giving her conditions and those are 'to finish her studies and avoid those things or persons that will put her in harm'. She smiled widely and promised to them.

*Months after*

"Ahhh. I'm finally in Korea," Jona said proudly. "After my years of heartbreak, I should be able to find my 'the one here." She says as she arranges her things in the apartment she's staying in.

After she arranged her things and cleaned her apartment, Jona called her family to tell them she was doing fine and learned some Korean language.

"Ahhh. I'm hungry. Hmm. What should I eat? Should I cook something? Oh, right. I forgot to buy food. Guess I should just eat in a restaurant huh". Jona picked up her phone and wallet then went outside.

She went to a restaurant near her apartment and ordered some food. After that, she sat on a table with a sofa in front and back beside the glass window.

As she looks outside while sipping her drink, she heard some guys sitting next to her table, laughing. 'so noisy', she thought.

She took a look at them and saw a group of men playing arm wrestling. 'what the hell!? They're doing that here in a restaurant!? Gosh! This restaurant is supposed to be quiet and peaceful! Tsk tsk tsk!' She thought while shaking her head.

"WOAAHHH! VASCO WINS! WOHOOO!" The group of men cheers and shouted as the mustached guy with tattoos in his bulked body won.

'Grrrrr! Shut up! If only I own this restaurant, I would've told those guys to shut the fuck up!' 'Be patient. Be patient. Stay patient Jona' Jona thought as she calmed herself down.

"Shhh! Make your voices lower. This is a restaurant. We should respect the other customers." a big-eared guy said.

"oh sorry, sorry" the guys who shouted, apologized and bowed to other customers simultaneously.

'heh! I'm glad there's a sane guy like him in their group tho. But wait- what the hell are they? Hm? Those guys got tattoos on their bodies. Must be gangsters. Tch! They're the kinds of people my father want me to avoid' she criticized as she looked at them.

The big ears saw her looking at them which made her flinch a little but he only smiled at her and bowed a little, apologizing for their rude behavior. Jona just smiled and bowed back to him then finished her drink. After that, she quickly left from restaurant and went to the nearby convenience store.

She picked some canned goods, ramen, and chips. As she was about to go to the cashier to pay, she saw a 6 foot tall, handsome guy stealing some canned goods.

She was about to approach him when a short-haired girl with bangs suddenly said to him, "Oh Eli. Stop stealing! That's bad. Give me that, I'll pay."

Eli gave her the canned goods then she smiled at him while patting his head. It made Eli blushed. 'Whew. I'm glad she stopped him. Was that his girlfriend? Gosh! She deserved better.' she thought as she shook her head.

After she paid, Jona went back to her apartment. "Gosh. What a day. Gangsters in a restaurant and a robber in convenience store. Tsk tsk tsk."

"Tomorrow will be my first day of school. I'm glad I enrolled and passed in my online entrance examination last month. Now all I have to do is pay my tuition tomorrow. Hmm? What school was that again? Oh right! J College University. I'm excited", Jona said as she imagined the good things that will happen on her first day of class.

She is preparing the things that she will need on her first day of school tomorrow when suddenly, her drawing book fell from the table. She picked it up and saw her own drawing.

"God. Where am I supposed to find this kind of guy? *sigh* He's so handsome. Even though he's just my imagination." She says as she admires her own masterpiece.

"Although my drawing is not that good especially my coloring, when I imagine this guy standing in front of me in real life, asking me out AAAAAAAA my heart will surely burst!" Jona giggles and rolled side by side in the floor, acting like crazy. Then suddenly, she stopped. She felt a bit of chill in her body.

"what the hell? Why am I feeling this way? Oh well, nevermind. I still have to prepare my things." She put her drawing book back on the table and finished packing her things. After that, she called her family, prayed to God, then went to bed to sleep.
