CHAPTER 4

CHAPTER 4: your shoes look expensive

Months have passed and Jona had slowly forgotten of what happened on her early days in Korea but she still had a faint memory of the guy who saved her.

She focused more on her studies and made a lot of friends. She even found out that Daniel and her were neighbors. Jona really wanted to visit Daniel but he always declined and said that he'll just visit her on her apartment.

She also made friends with little Daniel, a chubby guy who lived with Daniel and works in convenience store. Sometimes she helps him out during his shift when she got nothing to do.

Jona also got a bit closer with burn knuckles. She realized that they're not really bad guys. Behind the tough charisma and tattoos over their bodies is a soft heart that lies within them.

The J college university will be holding a school picnic at amusement park after 2 weeks. The students were so excited that they can't stop talking about it.

Jona went to the fashion department during their break time to have a chitchat with her friends.

"Jona, do you have plans this Sunday?", Mira asked.

"Nope. I don't have one.", Jona replied.

"That's great! How about we'll go shopping at gangseo? I heard there were a lot of pretty clothes in that place and they're cheaper too!", Mira said happily.

"Really? Okay then!", Jona replied with excitement on her face.

"I'll go with you two", Zack interfered.

"You don't have to Zack", Mira said.

"I have to. You need someone that will protect you." Zack said. Mira looked at him with a meh expression which made Jona chuckle, then she had a great idea

"Oh. Oh." The two of them looked at her.

"Let's tag Daniel too!", Jona said excitedly.

Mira's face brightened at Jona's suggestion and exclaimed, "That's a good idea!"

However, Zack frowned. Jona knew that Zack is jealous of Daniel but she still want him to tag along because she's comfortable around him.

On Sunday at 4 am, Jona takes a jog at the park. 'I still have 5 hours left. Our meeting time is 9 am.', she thought as she jogs.

Jona grew tired and stopped for a bit. 'I need water'.

When she saw a nearby store, she bought a water and chugged it.

'ahhh. Feels good. I should go home now.'

As she was on her way home, she went through an alley and spotted a brown-haired guy wearing a black jacket and cap, taking off shoes to an unconscious guy.

She got mad at the sight of it so she quickly approached him.

"Hey! What the hell are you doing!?"

The guy looked at her with a blank expression °_° and replied

"stealing shoes".

Jona got mad even more.

"Give it back to him".

"Why would I? I need money", the guy answered without changing his expression.

"You can earn money without stealing!", this time Jona lost her patience.

"and what the hell!? Did you even have to beat him!?".

"Mind your own business", the guy said and was about to leave but Jona grabbed his left arm. Jona was about to say a word but the guy suddenly twisted her arm, which made Jona fall upside down.

Jona's POV:

But before she fell to the ground, the guy grabbed her waist.

Jona couldn't say anything. She went speechless. They were staring at each other and Jona couldn't help but admire his eyes.

'His eyes... they're pretty.', she thought which made her blush.

"your shoes look expensive", Jona still admired his looks, not minding what the guy said.

He slowly put her on the ground and stood up. Only then, Jona snapped back into reality and got confused with what he said.

"What?"

But the guy didn't answer and left, carrying the shoes he collected. Jona's mind is still processing when she felt a bit cold on her feet.

When she looked at her feet, her eyes and mouth opened widely.

"AAHHHHH! YOU MOTHERFUCKER! GIVE ME BACK MY SHOES!".

She quickly stood up and ran barefooted. She looked everywhere but she couldn't find him anymore.

'Damn it! I got swayed by his looks!', Jona thought furiously.

Jona went home with an angry face.

"DAMN IT! ARRRGGHH! I'LL DEFINITELY FIND HIM! THAT MOTHERFUCKER!", she shouted and threw her towel to the table which made the cat shocked

"Meow~"

"Sorry kitty. I'm just really annoyed.", Jona said apologetically. She sighs and went to the bathroom to take a shower.

After a few hours, she heard a knock on her door

"Jonaa, let's goo. Are you done?"

'It's Daniel', Jona then grabbed her shoulder bag and opened the door.

"Hiii!", Daniel greeted her excitedly but his excited face slowly turned into a concerned look when he saw Jona frowning.

"What happened?", Daniel asked her. But Jona is so pissed that she doesn't want to talk about it so she just sighed and said.

"It's nothing. I'm just not in a mood. Let's go"

Daniel just followed her with a confused look on his face.
