CHAPTER 18

CHAPTER 18: Let's go home

Jona arrived at the apartment. She then knocked the door of Johan's room. But minutes later, the door didn't open.

"Maybe he's not here? Oh well, I'll just wait for him.", Jona mumbled and wait to her room.

Two days have passed. Each night Jona will knock at the door where Johan's room is but no one will open and answer her.

Jona went to where the landlady is and asked her about Johan.

"Excuse me ma'am."

"Oh! Jona!", the landlady smiled.

"Have you seen Johan?"

"Hmm? I don't think so. The last time I saw him was two days ago."

"I-I see."

Jona then went back to her room while the landlady watched her walking away with pity in her eyes.

Jona sighed as she entered her room.

'Where did he go? Why does it took him so long to return? Is he alright?'

Jona is pacing back and forth while biting her nails. She was anxious and imagining worst scenarios that might happen to Johan.

'What if someone abducted him?'

'No. No. He's a strong person.', Jona thought as she shook her head.

'But what if he fought someone stronger than him and he ended up badly injured?'

Jona paused for a while.

'What if.....someone tried to kill him? Arrgghh'

Jona grabbed her hair out of frustration. She then closed her eyes and took a deep breath. When she opened it, her eyes were full of determination.

'I'll find him'

Johan's POV:

"Hey! Where's Jonggun?", Johan asked while grabbing the hair of a person who's face were full of bruises.

"J-Jonggun? I-I don't know someone named jonggun.", the guy said.

Johan punched his face hard once again.

"Urghh! S-stop! I-I s-swear I don't know", the guy begged while crying.

"Tsk!", Johan let go of his hair and walked away.

While he is walking, he can hear his stomach growling.

'I'm hungry.'

He then went towards the nearby barbeque stall.

"Johan?"

"Oh. You're from hostel. Olly's goons."

"Y-yea haha.", Chuck said while smiling awkwardly.

"Give me food. I'm hungry.", Johan said and sat at the chair.

"What brings you at this place by the way?", Justin asked.

"I'm looking for Gun. Do you have any idea where he is?"

"You're looking for who?", both Chuck and Justin asked simultaneously.

"Wouldn't it be weird for us to know that? We're quite busy living on our own, you know.", Justin said.

"We're not private investigators here, we don't know where people are. It's no use asking us for info.", Chuck said.

"So... stop eating Johan Seong.", Justin said after seeing that Johan almost ate all of their barbeque.

"So, what you guys are saying is that you don't know where gun is?", Johan asked while holding a barbeque.

"I told you no."

"Alright, then-", Johan didn't get to finish his word when someone intrude his talking.

"Then.... Are you going back home now?",

Johan looked at his side and saw Zack holding a barbeque.

"Let's go home. Your mother is looking for you.", Zack said and looked at Johan.

"Hey! Have I ever listened to you before? Idiot.", Johan said while flashing a bright smile in front of Zack, trying to contain his irritation.

"No. You never have. But I'll make you listen to me."

Jona's POV:

Jona ran towards the direction where Johan went. After seeing tons of people who got beaten up, she asked them who fought them and where he's heading to.

She then paused when she saw a barbeque stall.

'Is this it?'

"Let's go back home Johan"

Jona quickly looked at the direction where she heard a guy's voice. When she looked at the other side, she saw Zack approaching Johan while Johan is looking down.

'Zack? Johan? Wait-'

"I know that everything you've built so far.... Was destroyed by that man. I know you're blinded by revenge. I get it."

'That man? Revenge? Who is Zack referring to?', Jona thought.

"But you still have your mother. So, let's go back. It'll be just like the old days with you, me, and Mira. Stop being stubborn. You dumbass."

'Zack is right. It's for your own good Johan.', Jona nods at what Zack said.

"Zack. You know nothing about me.", Johan said while looking at Zack fiercely.

"Hurry up and pack."

"bro, care to help?"

Jona then looked at her right side and saw the two guys in the stall packing their things. She then went towards them.

"I'll help you two."

"T-Thank you miss.", the two guys blushed.

"What the? Did you see that Chuck?"

"Yea."

"What's wrong?", Jona looked at the guys on her side.

"Johan failed to punch Zack Lee", Chuck said while looking at Zack and Johan with disbelief.

"It isn't hereditary....! No... it can't be, right?", Zack asked while looking at Johan.

Jona's heart started to pound so hard.

'It can't be right? But- Type 2 diabetes. I remember searching about it and it says that it can be hereditary.'

"Are you alright miss?" Justin asked to Jona worriedly after seeing her froze.

"N-no... it can't be...", Jona mumbled and started to chase after Johan.
