CHAPTER 17

CHAPTER 17: Nightmare

Johan's POV:

Johan was in a place full of darkness.

"Hello?", Johan called.

He looked around and saw no one. Then suddenly, a voice called him.

"Johan"

When Johan turned around, he saw his mom smiling with her arms wide open.

"Come here son."

Johan's tears slowly fell from his eyes. He bit his lip and ran towards his mother's arms.

"Mom. I miss you.", Johan said while he sobs and hugged his mother tightly.

"What are you talking about? I'm not your mom.", his mom's voice suddenly changed into a demonic tone.

When he let go of the hug, his mom acted like a crazy woman and started to crawl like a dog. Johan felt the fear once again, his hands are trembling. He slowly stepped back and turned around but the moment he turned around, he saw his mother lying on a hospital bed.

"Mr. Seong"

Johan looked at his side and saw the doctor approaching him.

"Your mother needs treatment as long as possible. If not, she might not be able to see again."

"S-stop. T-this i-is t-too m-much."

Johan fell from his knees and started breaking down. He screamed and grabbed his hair while crying.

"W-why-"

"Johan"

Someone touched Johan's hair. When he looked up, he saw Jona looking at him with a worried eyes. She touched his cheeks and wiped his tears.

"Lean on me", Jona said and hugged Johan.

Johan froze. His mind is in shambles but his heart hurts so much that he needed someone to lean on. Seconds later, Jona let go of hugging Johan.

"J-Jona?", Johan was confused.

Jona stood and walked away.

"J-Jona. W-where are you going?", Johan chased after her.

Jona stopped.

"Jona?", Johan was about to reach Jona but he was distracted when he heard someone clapping its hands.

Johan looked at the other side and saw gun and goo smiling at him evilly.

"Very well Jona. Stay away from Johan or else you'll be in danger.", goo said while smiling.

"Oy! Don't touch an innocent girl. Let's make Johan a choice.", gun said and faced Johan.

Johan clenched his fist and gritted his teeth.

"Johan, what would you choose? Become a crew and make a lot of money or stay at this girl's side that can't even help you treat your mother.", Gun said while looking at Johan seriously.

"You piece of shit!", Johan lost his patience and ran towards gun.

"You disowned me! And now what!? You're asking me a choice!?"

Johan punched gun so hard. He smiled when gun fell down and he's on his top. He tried aiming a punch on his face but gun kept blocking his punches using his arms. But despite that, Johan knew that his punches still hurts him.

"Johan"

Johan stopped punching gun when he heard Jona's voice. He looked at Jona and saw her crying.

"Please stop. Stop hurting yourself."

Johan couldn't say anything. He just stared at her.

And suddenly, he opened his eyes and quickly sat at the bed while panting.

'What? That was just a dream?'

Johan felt a relief after realizing that it was just a dream. He then slowly got up and looked at the clock.

'it's 8 a.m'

"Johaann", Jona called him while knocking at the door.

Johan frozed for a moment after hearing Jona's voice.

"Johanie~ open the door", Jona knocked once again.

Johan then went to the door and opened it.

"What?"

"Good morning~", Jona greeted him with a smile which made his heart melt.

"I cooked a lot of food earlier cause I was hungry hehe but I ended up getting full when I ate a half of it so here.... I'll just give this to you.", Jona then handed him the lunch box.

"Thanks.", Johan accepted the lunch box. "Are you going to your school right now?"

"Yup! Bye bye!", Jona waved at him with a smile.

"Take care"

"Yes sir", Jona saluted which made Johan chuckle.

Johan watched Jona walking away and closed the door.

While he was eating the food Jona made, he remembered his dream. His anger came back when he thought of Gun and how he was betrayed by his crew.

'Revenge'

The first word that came to Johan's mind which caused him to stop eating. He looked at the lunch box Jona gave and mouthed.

"Sorry Jona"

He then changed his clothes into the usual ones he wear while he was stealing shoes. A black jacket, cargo pants, and boots.
