CHAPTER 15

CHAPTER 15: Jealous

When Jona finished changing her shirt, she went outside with a long face.

"Are you okay Jona?", Johan asked him.

"Ye. Let's go.", Jona then grabbed the bag and walked away.

'Is she mad at me?' Johan thought. Despite being confused on her actions, he still followed her.

"Hey Jona! Slow down.", Johan called her.

Jona stopped walking and looked at him.

"Are you mad at me?", Johan asked.

"No. Why would I?", Jona replied and walked again.

"But you look like you're mad."

"I'm not.", Jona said while frowning.

Johan no longer say a word because Jona looks in a bad mood. He just followed her silently until they got at the apartment.

*Next morning*

Jona is having a lunch with Mira at the cafeteria. While Mira is eating her food, Jona secretly glances at her.

'She's pretty....really pretty. No wonder Johan liked her. Tsk! She's kind too.'

Jona then stabbed the hotdog on her plate with a fork. When Mira noticed Jona's weird behavior, she stopped eating and asked.

"Is there something wrong Jona?"

"Eh?"

"You look annoyed. Is there something bothering you? I also noticed that you kept looking at me. Is there something you would like to tell me?"

"Um..."

Mira touched her cheeks when she observes that Jona is hesitating.

"Jona, please feel free to tell me if you have a problem. We're friends after all.", Mira looked at Jona with kind eyes.

"Mira...."

"Hmm?"

"Who do you like?"

Mira couldn't speak. She was shocked at Jona's question.

"Ah. Haha. Ermm..", Mira looked at Jona but Jona looked at her seriously.

"Z-Z-Zack"

Jona's face brightened after hearing Mira's answer which made Mira paranoid.

"H-Hey! Don't tell anyone okay?"

"Don't worry Mira. You can trust me.", Jona smiled.

"But.... Why won't you just confess to him?"

"No... I mean.. not yet. Cause he's still immature.", Mira frowned.

"I see."

When Jona saw Zack ordering a food, she waved at him. Mira looked at the direction where Jona waved and when she saw Zack, she quickly looked away and blushed. Jona laughed and teased her while Mira glared at her.

Johan's POV:

Johan is passing by at the stores while carrying the shoes he stole. He was overthinking.

'Did I do something wrong? Ever since I told Jona about Zack and Mira, she went cold. But why?'

Johan sighed. He looked at the right side and saw a silver necklace with a moon pendant. He touched the necklace and admired it.

'It's beautiful. Moon. When I think about it, Jona resembles the moon. Being with her feels like I have a light by my side in this world full of darkness. I feel serenity when I'm with her.'

'It's beautiful. How much does this thing cost? Should I just steal it?'

"That's worth 5,000 won boy"

Johan was startled when an old man suddenly popped out of nowhere and smiled at him.

"Ah. I-I see." Johan smiled with embarrassment.

'Crap! Since when did he got there? Did he notice that I was about to steal it?'

"So boy, are you gonna buy it?"

"Y-Yes", Johan then handed the old man a 5,000 won.

A paper suddenly fell from Johan's wallet. When he picked it up, he saw the contract that Jace made to him last time.

'Right. I almost forgot. I still owe him. I was supposed to be a babysitter of that annoying Vasco.'

'Tsk! Jace that lover boy. He chose to go on a date with that girl instead of protecting a friend that has been with him for years.' Johan sighed.

He then remembered Zack and Mira but he shook his head to forget them.

'I have my own reason for cutting ties with them.'

Johan then went to Gangdong to where the main building of Hostel was.

Jona's POV:

When Jona got home, she laid on her bed.

'Is Johan in his room right now? I think I was rude yesterday. I should apologize.'

Jona went outside and was about to knock the door when the landlady is talking to her.

"Jona! Are you looking for Johan?"

"Ah. Yes ma'am."

"Well, he's not here yet. I'll just call you if he came back."

"I see. Thank you ma'am. Please tell him that I'll be waiting for him at the rooftop."

"Sure Jona.", the landlady assured her.

Jona excitedly climbed upstairs and waited for Johan.
