CHAPTER 35

CHAPTER 35: Valentine's Day

Months have passed since Jona and Johan started dating. After Johan helped Jona reviewing her studies, he decided to study medicine and become an ophthalmologist.

Johan studied at the same school Jona studies in. He also made peace with both Zack and Mira and they walk together at home after school. They will even bond together at the arcade sometimes after class.

*knock* *knock*

"Johaniee~"

Johan stopped reading when he heard Jona's voice. He then approached the door and opened it. As usual, he will see the big smile on Jona's face everytime he opened the door.

"Did I disturb your studying?"

"Nope"

"I ordered pizza earlier. Let's eat at the rooftop!", Jona excitedly said.

"Sure", Johan smiled at her.

Jona then dragged him at the rooftop and both of them ate happily.

"Mmm. Itch dewishus."

"Jona... Didn't you told me before not to talk while your mouth is full?"

Johan sighed while Jona giggles. Jona suddenly coughed because she choke on the food she ate while Johan started to panic and quickly handed her the water.

"Eat carefully Jona", Johan sighed.

"Yes love"

Johan blushed on what she said. He turned his head away from her and faked a cough.

"Oya? Did you just blush?", Jona teased him.

"I- I did not!"

Jona laughed and teased him once more while poking his sides. Johan tried stopping her by catching her hands. They were teasing, laughing and talking for an hour.

Jona yawned and leaned on Johan's shoulder.

"Are you tired?", Johan asked.

"Hmm.. A bit.", Jona said and looked up.

Johan also looked up and mesmerize the stars. When he noticed that Jona isn't talking, he looked at her and saw her sleeping soundly while leaning on his shoulder.

"Cute", he said and smiled while brushing her hair.

He then carried Jona to her room and gently placed her to her bed. He went back to his room and fixed his things. When he was about to place his book on his bag, something fell from the table. When he looked into it he was surprised to see it.

"The moon pendant! I forgot to give it to Jona"

Johan sighed and stared at the pendant for a while.

'Jona is already asleep. I can't give this to her right now.'

He looked at the calendar to find the perfect time he'll give it to her.

'Tomorrow is 14. So tomorrow is Valentine's Day'

*Next Morning*

Jona yawned and stretched her arms.

"Huh? It's morning. How did I get here? I was leaning on Johan's shoulder last night. Then maybe-"

Jona started to blush by imagining on how Johan carried her in a bridal style to her room last night. She rolled back and forth in her bed while giggling.

She then checked her phone to see the time.

"Hmm. It's still early. But wait-"

Jona was surprised to see the date.

"Today is Valentine's Day? Oh! Oh! It's a good thing today's weekend. Johan and I can go on a date! But..."

Jona's mood slowly became sad, knowing that Johan didn't ask him on a date yesterday.

'Maybe he just forgot that today is Valentine's? I should go ask him.'

Jona knocked to Johan's room but he didn't answer nor open the door. Jona's mood became even sadder. When the landlady saw her standing at the door, she then greeted her.

"Good morning and Happy Valentine's Day, Jona!"

"Same to you, ma'am", Jona bowed.

"You look sad, Jona. Was it because your boyfriend is not here?"

"Ah, well-"

"Don't worry, he left a letter for you.", the landlady then handed Jona the letter.

Jona was surprised and jumped out of joy upon reading what Johan wrote at the letter.

'Prepare for our dinner date. I'll pick you up later!'
