CHAPTER 24

CHAPTER 24: Hostel

Jona went to school with bandages on her arms.

“Jona!”, Mira quickly approached her.

“Oh! Hi, Mira!”

“What happened to you Jona? These past few weeks, you always excused yourself when we wanted to hang out with you after class because you’ve got plans. But ever since that time, I always see you wearing bandages on your arms.”, Mira looked at her with pure concern.

“I’m really fine Mira. I was just learning martial arts.. That’s how I got these scars.”

“Just how dangerous that martial art can be for you to experience these?”

“Well, I admit it’s dangerous but it’s worth it… because I got stronger.”, Jona smiled which made Mira feel relieved.

“Alright. If you say so.”

“But by the way Mira, have you seen Eli?”

“Eli Jang? From beauty department?”

“Yes. I heard he’s good at hair coloring.”

“Hmm? Let’s ask Zack about him.”

Both Jona and Mira then went to Zack and ask him about Eli.

“You’re looking for Eli?”, Zack asked.

“Yes. Do you have any way to contact him?”

“Well, I know where he lives but it’s kinda far.”

“It’s alright.”

Zack then told her the address and after that, she went to her classroom.
While Jona’s professor is having a discussion, Jona thought so hard.

‘Gangdong? Big building? It’s familiar.. Where and when did I hear it? Why does it always ring in my mind ever since Zack told me about Eli’s address?’

Jona closed her eyes and forced herself to remember what she forgot.

“Ms. Mendez? Ms. Mendez!”

Jona flinched when she heard the professor calling her.

“Yes sir?”, Jona quickly stood up.

“Solve this problem”

Jona then went to the board and solved the problem.

“Very good Ms. Mendez”, the professor complimented her. “but please focus on my discussion next time.. Just because you’re smart, doesn’t mean you don’t have to listen to your professors' discussion.'

“Yes sir. I apologize.”, Jona bowed and went to her seat.

Jona sighed and looked at the window. When she saw a building from afar, she read the one word written above it.

‘Hotel'

Jona’s face brightened when she remembered something.

‘Aha! Hostel! I remember now! Daniel told me about them and Eli is originally the one who created it. Gosh! I forgot about it cause I was so focused with God dog and Johan that time.’

Jona then focused on discussion. When the class dismissed, Jona went outside the school with Mira and her other friends.

“I visited little Daniel daily on his house but he wasn’t there! The door is always locked!”, Zoe complained.

‘You’ll be surprised when you see him again Zoe’, Jona tried her best to hide her smile by looking down.

“Do you have any idea where he is Jona?”, Zoe asked.
