CHAPTER 12

CHAPTER 12: One Night (2)

Jona's POV:

'Urgh! I feel weak.', Jona tried opening her eyes but everything looks blurry. She closed her eyes once again and recall what happened.

'What happened? The last time I can remember is that I was talking with the guy that will hire me.... Hm? Wait- I was drinking a water that time... after that, I feel sleepy.. Wait- does that mean?' Jona opened her eyes and this time, her vision looks clearer.

She looked at her surroundings but she can only see darkness. It's as if she's inside a big box. She can feel her legs and hands being tied up. She tried shouting but her mouth was also tied up.

"MMHHH! MMMHHHH! MMMHHH!"

"Oh! This girl must be awake! Hahaha!"

"Let's send her to the boss right now. For sure he will like our gift. Hahaha!"

Jona felt chills over her body. She tried bumping to the sides as hard as possible.

"Hey! Stop moving!", the guy kicked the box hard which made Jona stumble.

"Hello sir! We have a special gift for you! Hahaha!"

The box slowly opened. Jona saw a guy with girls on his side. When Jona looked at the right side, she saw Jace looking at her in shock. Jona couldn't say anything, she just looked at Jace as if she's begging for help while tears keep on falling from her eyes.

Johan's POV:

Johan stared at Jona's face. His heart aches. It hurts him seeing her cry. He reminds her of himself. Especially those times when he felt really helpless. Johan haven't clearly heard the conversation between Jace and the guy he's talking too. He just walked towards the guy and kicked his hand.

"I'm starting to lose my patience. Let me do this in my own way."

"J-Johan", Jace started to feel worry.

Johan then approached Jona. He slowly untied her and wiped her tears.

"Johan"

"Don't worry, I'm here. You stay with Jace okay?"

Jona nods at what he said and stayed at Jace's side.

"What the heck? He's a boy? Hahaha", the guy laughed. "But his body is perfect. It's just like a girl so it's fine."

Johan clenched his fist harder and started punching them one by one.

Jona's POV:

"I hate seeing someone fight. But when it comes to Johan, why do I feel relieved? Seeing him fight like this again feels good. He's so good.", Jona said to Jace.

"Well, Johan is known as the legend in Gangbuk. But seeing him fight like this still surprises me. His strength and speed is unbelievable.", Jace said.

"Right? He's.... hand....some as... well..." Jona felt dizzy until she lost consciousness.

Johan's POV:

"Jona!", Jace kept calling her.

Johan looked towards Jace's direction and saw Jona unconscious. He hurriedly went to her.

"What happened?"

"Jona and I were just talking when she suddenly fainted."

Johan touched her forehead. "She's burning. I'll go take her to the hospital after we find that girl you're looking for."

Johan then carried Jona in his arms.

"Are you two close? How did you know her?", Jace asked while they're walking.

"Well, yes. I guess? The first time I met her is when I started my crew. When I think about it, it's already been a year. After that incident, our paths ended up crossing again and again.", Johan smiled as he reminisce those times.

Jace got surprised at Johan's reaction. He never thought that Johan could smile and has a soft side. He then remembered what Vasco told him. 'Johan is not actually a bad guy'

"A guy really changes when it comes to someone they love huh", Jace mumbled but Johan heard it clearly.

"What the heck are you talking about? I'm not in love with her. Tsk!", Johan denies.

'Wow. It's obvious that you're denying it idiot!', Jace thought while looking at Johan with a meh expression.

After they found the girl, Johan quickly left while carrying Jona. He then went to a hospital where his mother was admitted and rushed Jona into the emergency room.

"How is she doc?"

"She'll be fine. She's just experiencing fatigue. Just let her take a rest for now."

Johan felt relieved upon knowing that nothing serious happened to Jona. "Thank you doc."

For the whole night, Johan slept beside Jona. When morning came, he passed by to the room where his mother was and went to the hallway of the hospital to wait for the chairman.
