CHAPTER 26

CHAPTER 26: Fight

Jona walked through the hallway of the club. Trying to find evidence on the illegal things that the third affiliate of the workers did.

Jona grew tired of walking through the hallway for almost an hour. She sighed and leaned on the wall when suddenly, the wall moved which made Jona scream out of surprise.

"AAAAAAA", Jona went out of balance.

When she opened her eyes, she was in a dark room. Jona turned the flashlight on in her phone and she was surprised to see boxes inside the room.

'What are these?'

Jona opened one of the boxes and saw mushrooms inside it. She tried opening the other one and she saw white powder inside it. She pictured both of it and tried opening the other boxes one by one.

'What are these? They're all the same but I feel suspicious of these things.'

Jona took out the zip locks she brought and started putting the materials she saw on the boxes inside it. When she heard a faint footsteps in the distance, she quickly closed the boxes and hid behind the table.

"We'll move these boxes. Those intruders are trying to find dirt on us so we have to make sure they won't see this."

'So those things are really the evidences huh?', Jona smirked.

Jona took a peek on the person talking and saw the girl who was one of the workers. The girl she saw who talked with Johan earlier.

When she saw that the girl and the men she ordered to move the boxes were gone, she slowly stood up and moved towards the opened door.

"I knew it!", the girl suddenly showed up and looked at Jona with a mischievous smile.

'Shit!', Jona cursed in her mind because of her clumsiness.

"What are you doing here? Are you also..... trying to find dirt on us?", the girl walked forward to get closer to Jona while Jona is slowly moving backwards until she got cornered.

"Ha! You're messing with the wrong person miss!", the girl smiled at her evilly.

Jona raised her brow for a second and changed the topic.

"What's your name?"

Despite being confused of her question, the girl still answered.

"Jin Sowol"

"I see.", Jona started stepping forward while Sowol looked at her in confusion.

"Nice to meet you Jin Sowol, I'm Jona Mendez. And you're right... I'm trying to find dirt on you so I could take you down and save him.", Jona smirked.

Sowol snorted and attacked Jona. Jona was caught off guard so she failed to block or dodge her attack which made her fell down on the floor.

"I told you you're messing with the wrong person", Sowol said.

"Shut up bitch!", Jona wiped the blood in her mouth and stood up to attack Sowol.

Sowol was quite surprised of how fast Jona attacks and how hard her punches are. She was also surprised that her attacks won't work enough to make her unconscious.

'This girl is strong!', Sowol thought as she dodge her punches.

"Tell me", Jona panted.

"What? You're tired already? Hahaha", Sowol laughed and aimed a punch to Jona but Jona dodged it and kicked her.

"The dirt that you guys are trying to hide are drugs, aren't they? Perhaps..... Is it related to pungsan cult?"

"I think you already know too much, Jona... I really do need to get rid of you.", Sowol said and charged an attack to Jona but Jona quickly blocked her attack.

"Answer my question first!"

"Yes. We supplied drugs in pungsan years ago. Now that you know about it, I'll kill you for real.", Sowol took the blade she saw on the table and charged to Jona.

Jona smoothly dodged her attack and kicked her face. Sowol tried to do the attack she did to Johan earlier but before she could grab Jona's shirt, Jona turned around and punched Sowol in the face so hard which made her fly towards the wall.

Sowol gritted her teeth and looked at Jona in annoyance while Jona slowly approached her.

"Why do you have to go this far?! Do you have any idea how many people had suffered because of what you did!? Don't you feel any ounce of guilt!?", Jona looked at her furiously.

"I'm just doing what I was told by my boss", Sowol replied.

"Did you know that Johan suffered so much because of that fucking cult and fucking drugs!?"

'Johan? That intern? How is he related to the cult? Is he one of the victims of the cult?', Sowol couldn't talk back to Jona because of the questions she had in mind.

"I don't get the reason why you're doing this. Why are you letting them treat you like a dog!?", Jona said furiously.

Instead of answering Jona's question, Sowol slowly removed her coat and unbuttoned her shirt. Jona went flabbergasted when she saw her chest with one spot missing.

"W-what happened?"

"I filled my chest up with drugs and moved them for Vivi, our president."

Jona got mad even more because of what she said.

"ARE YOU DUMB?! HOW COULD YOU LET YOURSELF BE TREATED THAT WAY!? DON'T YOU HAVE A PRIDE!? WHY ARE YOU SACRIFICING YOURSELF SO MUCH FOR THAT BITCH!?"

"If it weren't for them, I would've been dead right now. Because of the money they provided me, I can eat, drink, and have clothes to wear."

"Seriously, Sowol? Don't you want to be a girl? Don't you have a life you wanted to live?"

"Ever since I met that intern, I feel like I'm slowly changing. I wanted to be a girl again... but I know I don't deserve him. I may not be the one who directly ruined his life, but I am still responsible for it."

Jona couldn't speak. She was quite surprised to know that she likes Johan.

"Jona.... Take care of Johan for me.", Sowol said and tapped her shoulder.

"Where are you going?", Jona asked as she grabbed Sowol's wrist.

"I'm going to turn myself in to the police and reveal our illegal doings. It should be enough to compensate what we've done to Johan and the other victims."

Sowol then removed Jona's hand and walked away but before she could reach the door, she paused and said.

"Thank you, Jona."

Sowol smiled and tossed her a black badge. Jona then caught it and looked at her in confusion.

"Use that. Johan might be in the 9th floor right now. You can only go to that floor through elevator with that badge."

Jona was dumbfounded. She just watched Sowol walking away.

'I was just going to fight her but I ended up changing her life just because of my words', Jona thought.
