CHAPTER 2

CHAPTER 2: First day of school

"ahhhh" Jona stretched. "Today's a good day. It should be. Alright, hmm.. What should I eat for today's breakfast?"

Jona hummed as she cooked her breakfast and ate happily. After that, she grabbed her school bag, wear her shoes, and went outside.

While Jona is on her way to school, she saw a tall guy around her age in distance, wearing the uniform of her school.

'Oh. Is he a classmate? Should I approach him? But I'm shy. I guess I'll just follow him then hehe.'

When they both reached the school, the guy she's following bumped into a blonde haired guy shorter than him. "I'm sorry", he apologized.

'How clumsy. But why does he walk like it's his first time? When I think about it, he walks like that ever since I saw him. He doesn't look like he's drunk tho. Is that his first time having that kind of body? Oh wait- what am I thinking?' Jona sighs and shook her head as she thought of those unbelievable things.

She finally reached her department which is the medical technology department. The students introduced themselves one by one for the whole morning. When the bell finally rang, which indicates lunch time, Jona went to the cafeteria.

"Gosh. This cafeteria is so noisy." Jona complained. As she waited on the line to order some food, she observed that most of the students were staring at the guy he saw earlier.

Jona overheard the conversation of the girls standing behind her "He's so handsome! I heard his name is Daniel." ,"Really?", "Yeah. He's from the fashion department.", "Woaahh", they said.

'So his name is Daniel huh.' Jona thought. 'I admit he's handsome but I don't really show much interest of him.' After she ordered some food, she went to the vacant table and ate her lunch.

As she was eating her lunch, a brown haired pretty girl approached her. "Hi! I'm Mira Kim. Mind if I join you? There's no vacant tables anymore and I observed that you're only eating alone so... hehe.", Mira said shyly.

"Oh sure. You can sit here.", Jona said.

"What's your name?", Mira asked.

"My name is Jona Mendez", Jona said.

"Your name sounds unique-" Mira couldn't finish her word when a guy suddenly called her name.

"MIRAAA. Hi, can I join you two?" a guy asked.

"Sure.", Jona nodded.

"Zack. Can't you eat with other guys?", Mira asked with an annoyed face.

"Nope. I want to eat with you.", Zack replied.

Jona smiled as she watched them. "Are you two lovers?" Jona asked suddenly which made Zack blushed.

"N-no. Haha. W-we're just friends ever since we we're kids. Haha.", Mira said awkwardly. Zack frowned after hearing Mira's answer.

'Hmm. Looks like this guy likes her huh' Jona thought and smiled.

"So Jona, which department are you in?", Mira asked as the three of them walked through the hallway.

"Oh, I'm in Medical Technology department hehe", Jona said.

"Really? That's great then. We're from fashion department so our classrooms are on the same floor.", Mira said.

Jona waved goodbye to them when they finally reached their classrooms.

During the afternoon class, Jona got bored and ended up staring outside the window for hours.

"Okay class! That's all for today!", Jona just snapped back into reality when the professor told them that the class dismissed. The students said goodbye to the professor and left.

Jona packed her things and grabbed her bag. When she was about to leave, she saw Mira and Zack waving at her outside the room.

"Hii Jona!", Mira greeted her with a smile.

"Oh hi Mira. What brings you two here? ", Jona asked.

"We just want to accompany you", Mira said.

"Thank you" Jona smiled at them.

"No problem. I consider you as my friend now." Mira smiled back. The three of them waved goodbye and parted ways after crossing the pedestrian lane.

Jona got home and went to the bed. "Ahh! So tiring! But this day is good! I finally made friends.", she said.

She picked her phone and browse in the internet. "I'm tired but I wanna do something. I think I should take a walk outside."
