Mal stared upward from where the Jumper was parked near the Gate. "Where are they?"

Rhett chuckled. "I'm sure they're on the way, they are twelve hours away."

"Yeah, I know."

"Colonel, sir, we have incoming ships."

"How many, Harper?" Rhett asked.

"One being pursued by at least five others, sir," Maeve told him.

"All right, we should probably offer some assistance. Try and contact the ship that's being chased and let's make certain it's the Captain and the Doctor."

"Yes, sir." She sat at the console. "This is Lieutenant Harper in Jumper One, identify yourself."

"Thank God, this is Captain Kain, the Wraith are right on our ass. We could use a little help here. I thought we lost them but apparently that wasn't true, they've been on our ass for the last hour and I can't shake them. If we take any more damage we're way more than screwed!"

"On our way, Captain." She looked back. "You got that, sir?"

"Yes, let's get up there and help them out." Rhett powered up the Jumper and took off. While both Wynnie and Dr. Kain also had the ATA gene, he was the most experienced pilot and in a situation like this his abilities were needed.

The lead Dart sped past them, made a turn and came back to fly off their right wing. "Ready to kick some Wraith ass, sir?" Lee asked over the radio.

Mal chuckled. "Yes, Captain, good to have you back."

"It's good to be back, sir."

"I'm assuming your brother is with you?" Mal asked her.

"He is currently being stored in the Dart, sir, not enough room in the cockpit for two."

"Understood. Let's get you back to Atlantis so we can let him out."

"Yes, sir."

The Wraith ships opened fire, but against the Jumper's superior weapons they stood little chance. Two of the Darts broke off and fled once the other three were destroyed.

"Should we go after them, sir?"

Rhett shook his head. "Let them go, there's no telling if there are any others out there. Let's get back to Atlantis. Dial the Gate."

"Yes, sir." Maeve dialed.

"This is Colonel Dawson in Jumper One, we're bringing Captain Kain and Dr. Kain back with us, they're currently flying a Wraith Dart, let's not blow them up upon return."

"Copy Jumper One, you're clear to proceed through the Gate."

"Copy, Atlantis." He grinned. "Let's go home."

The Jumper went through first, followed by the Dart a minute later. Lee released Oliver from the storage unit.

He threw his hands in the air. "I'm alive!"

Lee laughed. "I'll go park this thing ... uh, so where do I park it?"

"Take it up to the Jumper bay, there's space," Cal told her.

"Sure thing, sir." She followed Jumper One up into the bay and parked the Dart. When she made her way back to the Gate room she found Mal waiting for her.

"Hello, Colonel."

"Don't hello me, Kain, next time I tell you to get through the Gate you go!"

"Sir, if I had gone then you would have been trapped on the planet. You are vastly more important than I am. If anyone should get lost, it's me."

"That's bullshit and you know it. Every member of my team is important. Follow orders, Captain." He spun away and left her.

She sighed and watched him go.

"Yes, Captain, you should follow orders. Perhaps you aren't cut out for this line of work," Elias told her as he strolled past them and left the Gate room.

She glared at his back.

"That guy is a real asshole," Oliver said as he came to stand beside her.

"Yes, he is."

Van stepped forward and threw his arms around Lee. "I'm so glad you're all right!"

"Thanks, Van. I don't think the colonel is as thrilled."

Van grinned. "Give him a little time and he'll get over it. He was as worried as I was about you guys."

Oliver sighed. "I am going to take the longest, hottest shower I can manage." He glanced at his sister. "You should go get that ankle looked at," he told her before he strolled away.

She stuck her tongue out at his back.
