A new SG-1 team has been formed by General Samantha Carter, who now leads Stargate Command. Join Colonel Malachy Hughes as he and his team step through the Gate to explore the galaxy. They'll meet new friends, old enemies and discover what it truly...
Sam took a seat at the briefing table and looked at them. "All right, what did you find?"
Van slid a picture across the table to her. "Arensnuphis is a minor Egyptian god, very little is known about him other than he was a companion to Isis. Apparently, this Goa'uld has taken on his persona and set himself up as god to the people on the planet. He believes we are going to return with more slaves to worship him."
"Dr. Walsh, do you think that was a wise thing to promise a Goa'uld?" Sam asked.
"No, I don't but I saw no other way to extract ourselves from the situation alive."
"Captain, you've been very quiet."
"I thought we should remain, ma'am, and neutralize the threat. Colonel Sandford saw differently."
Sandford opened his mouth to reply but stopped before he got anything out. He settled for glaring at her.
Sam slid the picture back to Van. "You have a go. We can't allow the threat to remain. Take SG-2 and SG-6 with you."
"General, if we kill Arensnuphis the people may revolt. They think he's their god," Van said.
"Then be careful about how you do it, Doctor. Dismissed." Sam hesitated. "Dr. Walsh, come and see me in my office before you leave."
Van nodded.
"All right, let's get our equipment together and I will brief SGs 2 and 6. We are a go in twenty." Sandford swept from the room.
"I hate that guy," Van said. "I really, really, miss Mal."
"I will second that." Lee sighed. "Let's go, we wouldn't want the Sandman to report us."
"Are you going to spend the entire time he's here coming up with sand related jokes?"
"Indeed I am. Just don't tell Anakin, you know how he hated sand." Lee grinned.
Van rolled his eyes. "You are so funny, actually you aren't, your jokes are awful."
"But you love me anyway."
Van shook his head. "I'll meet you there after I see the General."
"Yup, let's kill us a Goa'uld.," Lee said cheerfully.

Colonel Sandford stopped in front of the Gate. "All right, SG-2, guard the Gate. If we can't make it back, then dial home and get the hell out of here."
"Sir ..."
"That's an order."
Lee sent Vala a sympathetic look. Vala shook her head and turned away to issue orders to her team.
"SG-6, you're with us," Sandford called out as he marched away from the Gate.
